Praying someone has an answer!!

Hi ladies.
As I am posting this I am praying that someone up there hears my prayers, and that someone out there can give me some kind of answer. Anything is helpful at this point. Here is what's happened.
Jan 4th - I went to emerg with slight brown spotting and pain in my lower right abdomen. The doctor did a pelvic exam, which turned up fine...bloodwork and scheduled an ultrasound for the next day.
Jan 5th - I returned for an ultrasound, done transvaginally. Here is what the report says:
Uterus anteverted measuring 9.7cm in length.
There is an interuterine structure resembling a gestational sac with a mean sac diameter of 1.0cm, containing an echogenic structure resembling a small fetal pole with a crown rump length at 0.12cm.
There is no definite fetal heartbeat.
They also did find a cyst on my right ovary, to which they attributed the one-sided pain.
I had a follow up ultrasound on the 10th of Jan at a different place that resulted as follows:
Intrauterine gestational sac measures 2.4x0.7cm (can someone first explain what this means please), yolk sac seen, no fetal pole seen, no heartbeat seen.
And another ultrasound on Jan 16th (on this day I was supposed to be 9w3d according to LMP)that resulted in: no change seen in last week.
Now during all this, my doctor was up in the air about it all, thinking originally that it could be a missed miscarriage, then thinking it might be improper dating, now back to possibly missed misscarriage. Here is what has her stumped. My hCg is still increasing. These are my numbers:
12:00 Jan 4 - 3722 (original hospital visit)
11:30 Jan 6 - 5627
10:30 Jan 10 - 21103 (second ultrasound)
10:00 Jan 12 - 29484
11:30 Jan 17 - 46161
I have another ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow at a different place and a final one Friday to make my final decision. What should I think about all this? I'm so confused and upset. I need some kind of answer, good or bad. I need AN answer. Obviously I'm hoping for a good outcome but if nothing is seen by Friday I am going to schedule a D&C per the advice of my doctor.
I appreciate any insight. I'm so confused.

Hi sweetie, I am so sorry that you are going through this. It is so hard to be in limbo. That happened to me last month for about a week and it was awful. Just keep faith as much as you can. I don't know very much about this as this was my first mc. Your numbers do look good though so yes there is still hope. Mine were decreasing so I knew it was over. I opted for a medicated mc.

This to me is the hardest part since you don't know if things are going to be okay or if you need to grieve. Keep praying that whatever the outcome you will come through stronger. I hoped you get some answers soon. Sorry i am not much help. You are in my prayers. Let me know what happens. Massive

I wish I could give you some answers - I can't, really, but I didn't want to read and run. That time of waiting between scans is hell. From what you've described they saw, I'm afraid I think the lack of change and lack of heartbeat probably does sound bad - but I'm not a doctor or sonographer, I'm just going on my own experiences and what I've read. (I've just been through the whole 'wait a week so we can re-scan and make sure' thing and it was completely one of the worst weeks of my life - I tried to find out absolutely everything I could about it. It is all so confusing and horrible and I really know what you mean about just needing to hear AN answer.)

I don't know why your hcg is increasing so fast still - I think I've heard that it can sometimes continue to rise even after an embryo dies, but I am far from certain on that - someone else here might be able to give you more information there. If it has your doctor 'stumped' though and she hasn't said anything like that, then perhaps that's a good sign? You do hear 'miracle' stories of things turning out okay in these situations - I am hoping so, so hard for you that yours is one of them. Wishing you strength and luck and everything for tomorrow, and I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this.
