I'm Currently Feeling: | Scan after m/c I had a m/c 12th June and this morning got an appointment through for a scan of my pelvis, i haven't requested one and wondered if this is normal?
Have any of you had this after m/c? What are they scanning for? | | | | Status: Offline

| I didn't have a scan after my mc, but am in a different part of the world as you, so not sure if it is "normal". I would assume they are doing this to ensure all the POC (products of conception) have been passed. Can you ring whoever booked you in for the scan and just ask these questions you have before the scan? That's all the advice I have, sorry I can't be more help!
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had a D&C on the 19th(I think) But I also had a scan at my two week follow up. It is just to make sure that everything is cleared, my doc also did a pelvic exam to make sure that all is well. It is 'normal' so don't stress. Hope that everything comes back perfectly.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi there,
Sorry for your loss hun
I had a scan, just to check that everything has come away. They will also probably do another pregnancy test just to check that your hormone levels are back to normal.

i'm so sorry to hear about your mc....i know that it is a heartbreaking time.....
my mc started one week before my 12week scan....when i started bleeding (sorry if TMI) i ended up in A&E....they brought my scan forward.......that just confirmed the worst though.....
i've not had a scan since then, though i'm off to the docs next week to see where i go from here....
luv & hugs to you though....take care | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yep - I agree with Tracie... they are just checking there are no bits of placenta still attached to your womb to make sure you don't get an infection.
Its nothing to worry about hun xx | | | | Status: Offline
