I'm Currently Feeling: | AF 10 days after mc? Hi all
So glad I've found this board it's nice to know there's people going through what I'm going through it really helps.
Well since I'm a newbie I'll start by telling you a little about me. I mc on 14 June - I hadn't even known I was pregnant. I'd had no signs and had finished my period on the 10th June. Along with this I suffer from PCOS so thought it would never happen to me anyway. OH had to take me to A&E as I was suffering from severe stomach pains and was bleeding quite badly. When I got there they did a test and came to tell me it was positive. To say I was shocked was a huge understatement - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Unfortunately by this time I had actually already miscarried. I think I was around 5-6 weeks but don't know for definite as my periods aren't regular due to the PCOS. They kept me in overnight as they were worried it was ectopic, and I had a scan the next morning which showed nothing, but the Consultant sad it could be that the pregnancy was in its early stages. I was booked for another scan a week afterwards but I already knew I wouldn't make it there - and 2 days later my blood tests confirmed that I had mc. So in 3 days I'd gone from thinking I couldn't/didn't want to have a baby, to being told I was pregnant, to being told I had mc, which I still don't think I've got my head round to be honest.
I actually wanted to ask something but I've started rambling (you'll get that a lot from me lol). I stopped bleeding on the 24 June, but yesterday when I went to the loo I had started bleeding. I rang the hospital but they said it was probably just my period starting, but I thought it wouldn't come for 6 weeks, have I got the wrong end of the stick here? Also, without wanting to be gory or give you TMI, it isn't like a normal period, there isn't much blood for one, it's very light and tbh it's a bit like how I was bleeding when I started to mc looking back. I was worried the same thing could be happening so did a test just to put my mind at rest really, which was negative.
Thanks for reading my very long post, and if you have any advice I would be very grateful. | | | | Status: Offline

all that i can recommend is that you go back to see your doctor and do another test this is the advice i have been given if the bleeding isnt gone in a few days then i recommend you either consult your doctor or go to your local A&E

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Tinkerbella
well I did a test last week that was neg and one today that was neg. When I was bleeding when I miscarried it was like brown blobby discharge (gross, sorry) and then I passed a large clot and the bleeding got worse, although it stayed a brown colour rather than being red.
I keep feeling twinges in my side, although I'm sure I'm probably imagining them. I'm worried about infection more than anything else really.
Think I will make an appt to see my GP (even though I don't like him) on Monday and just go to A&E if I do start to get any proper pains like you said.
When did you do they pos tests? My tests were pos for 4+ days after my mc but neg about 10 days later. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | From what I gather, we are all different. My AF took 5 weeks after MC, but some people get theirs much sooner. If you are in pain I would see your doc though. The pain in your side is slightly worrying: just in case you have anything in your tubes.
I'm still having my first AF after MC, and it is very painful and has clots in it etc.
Hope you are OK, and sorry for your loss.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just thought I'd give you a quick update
Today the pain in my right side got worse so I decided to pop to A&E. It turns out I definitely have a water infection and another possible infection so now I have 2 lots of tablets to take. He also told me after examining my tummy and pressing in various places that I have a "sore ovary", has anyone else had this? I'm assuming it's nothing to worry about as he didn't mention it again. He has also told me to make an appointment on Monday to be seen by the Nurse at my GP's for some swabs to be taken.
It was horrible being in A&E again, bought everything back to the surface and I drove home in tears. At least I know what's wrong now which makes me feel a little better. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry to hear about your infection. Hope all the testing goes OK.
I'm wondering if the bleeding and ovary pain is ovulation? I get very sore ovaries when I ovulate, and I know other ladies on this site get light bleeding.
I gather having a MC can make your body do all sorts of things that it has not ever done before while it gets back to normal. 10 days after MC would be a realistic time to be OVing.
Hope you are OK anyway.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I never thought about that to be honest, all of this is so new to me, so thanks for the advice.
Now I come to think about it I have had this pain before, not as strongly as this but in the same place and the same type of pain (it's only on my right side, would this make sense?)
I need to start looking at other parts of this forum as I don't have a clue about the best time to BD etc etc. I'm going to have a chat with the nurse on Monday about how long we have to TTC before going to see anyone, as we were having unprotected sex for 3 years before this happened, hence the reason I thought I couldn't have children (along with my PCOS).
Hope you're feeling a little better now. X | | | | Status: Offline
