I am worse at nightime too. Everything seems to get 10x worse when I get into bed, and 100x worse if I wake in the night. I've been using Bach flower remedies to try to ease the emotional hurt. They are completely safe for TTC and even pregnancy, and I've founfd them very helpful for emotional pain before. They won't take it all away, but might help you to relax at night.
You mentioned that your hubby suggested you "see someone". I've been seeing a counsellor through my work. She is very lovely and I think it is helping. I cry and cry when I'm talking to her, but somehow I do come out feeling something a bit positive afterwards. It might be worth it if you can get to see one.
