Its good they are bringing you back in 2 weeks it sounds as though everything will be ok and that you might be a bit earlier than you first thought. xx

Same here I knew my dates were right, Mkmum - I will keep everything crossed for your next scan

I have bled brown blood, apparently brown is old blood though, loads of women bleed and go on to have perfectly normal pregnancies. About 70% of women bleed while pregnant. I'm not sure about your cervix being low though, no help here sorry.

Well I'm not saying it will with you but that's exactly what I had to do. I knew I was around 8 weeks and she could see a yolk sac and a tiny blob. She even did a transvaginal scan to check and she still could only see a tiny blob that she said was an early pregnancy and I was wrong with my dates. She told me to come back in 2 weeks but I knew something wasn't right so I went back in after a week to the EPAU and told them I was still having this brown bleeding and they sent me for another scan that day. Then they couldn't see anything in the sac at all. That's when I knew. If you can a way of not waiting the 2 weeks then I wouldn't. I couldn't wait that long to find out. Go back in a week and tell them you're still bleeding and are concerned and they may give you another emergency scan hun.

I hope this isn't what happens to you and it goes ok

Hi hun!

I am so sorry to hear your going throught this. Two weeks is FAR to long to have someone worrying, it makes me angry that they expect us to "rest" but all we will do is worry.

Anyway if it was me i would DEMAND to be seen tomorrow and ask for a HCG blood test to be done and another one repeated in 48 hours, that way you will know for def hun, because in a normal continuing PG the HCG level will double every 48 hours!

Thats how i found out i was having a m/c because they couldnt see baby on the 1st scan and i know my dates where right etc but sadly my levels did not double but stayed the same and rose VERY slowly and i had a "missed" m/c.

They did find the preg eventualy in the womb as they suspected eptopic.

BIG to you and your partner, and i have everything crossed for you xxx

its not looking good ladies, had some more red bleeding today following quite a bit of brown, im thinking along the lines of what to do next more than "if it turns out ok" do i let nature take its course? or do i opt for intervention, think i would prefer d&c but im sooo scared of it making me sick due to the medication. can anyone give me advice on whats the better option? or shall i make a new thread asking?

I would really wait until you go for your next scan before you decide this. Like others have said lots of people have this when they are pregnant.

I was told they don't really like doing a D&C unless necessary so I just let nature take it course, this will sound odd but i was one of the lucky ones it happened a few hours after I had my scan so I didn't have to wait weeks. I was petrified of having surgery and opting for a natural m/c was def the option for me.

Sending you lots of xx

So sorry to hear your news. See what they say at the scan, although the waiting must be hell I am sure. Sending you and hoping your LO hangs on in there.
