Prior to miscarriage had regular 28 day cycle. I was wondering if anyone had experienced a change in cycle following a missed miscarriage.

We have been TTC again since end of 1st AF but no BFP. Finding it difficult to understand as had BFP after only 1 month of TTC and wonder whether the change in cycle has anything to do with it.

I was diagnosed aged 23 (1997) with Diabetes, but know that this isn't a problem as it is well controlled (latest HBA1c 7.0%).

Any advice gratefully received.
Hiya hun, i'm sorry for your loss I have also had a missed m/c in Nov and a m/c in Jan. My cycle has been ranging from 29 days to 35 days, i'm also spotting for 4 days prior to af. Think its quite normal for af to be a bit messed up. By the way, i also have type 1 diabetes, i was diagnosed 5 years ago. My HBA1c is 7.4, which isnt as good as your but its not terrible either. Its such a worry isnt it! Let me know how you get on.

Hiya funkym

So sorry to hear of your losses

Your HBA1c is fine. Mine has always been around mid 8% but have been really working hard since around Oct last year to get it down.

Hope that you get soon and please keep in touch.

Hi Nat - you have done really well to get it down to 7. I found that i had quite alot of hypos when it was 7. My doctor wants it down to 6.5 but as you know its really hard to maintain that! I have also got a double uterus and the consultant seems to think that MAY be the problem but i doubt it as both wombs are the same size. Hope you get your soon

Hiya Nat,
Well I had my Hba1c at 9.2 when I was pregnant this last time so I think you're doing really well. I need to get mine down so much before I get pregnant again as it may have been the cause of my m/c. I hope it wasn't my fault but it is such a struggle atm. I really hope we can both get our soon xxx

Nat,

First of all I am so sorry for your loss. I too am currently going through a similar situation. I just started passing naturally yesterday (5 weeks).

I am not sure how the normal range (HgA1c) differs from the US, but anything above 6% is considered uncontrolled in the US. I too have been diagnosed as early or pre-diabetic and I have been taking Metformin. Again I am not sure how the numbers may differ but I know here I want my HgA1c to be below 6% to show insulin control over a three month period.

I would think if your having annovulatory cycle they would be farther apart not closer together, but I am sure there is a time period after a pregnancy loss in which our bodies are just trying to readjust.
