No more retained products!

Hi all

Went for my scan this morning with a good deal of pessimism in tow but HOOOOOORAAAY I don't have any more retained products! The sonographer showed me on screen and it looks like one side of my uterus has a slightly thicker wall which she says will most likely come away with my next the fact that I am testing is a great sign, Oh also my cyst on my ovary has now gone, I am still bleeding but there is light at the end of my very long dark tunnel now

I just have to go to the epau for another appt with the registrar at lunch today I will post later and let you know what she says

To everyone

Just been for my appointment and seen the registrar, some good news and some bad!

+++ My blood count is fine so not anaemic, cyst on my ovary has gone, No retained products

--- I can expect very heavy bleeding any time soon as the lining of my womb is very thick -great!

--- No tampons, no swimming and wait for it... still no sex! I think my hubby is gonna leave me soon!! (only kidding) She says we have to abstain until bleeding completely stops.

I asked how long we should wait to start trying again and she said as soon as I feel like I am emotionally and physically ready, she said just to bear in mind how much I have been through and that I needed to be 100% right before putting myself through a pregnancy.

I am feeling a bit fed up now, I just want to get on with my life and the bleeding is really getting to me

Im so impressed that you are being seen and they are being so thorough with you...
Its really quite encouraging and you must be under such a good healthcare service there (unlike my district!)

At least you know exactly what is happening now and in time you will be emotionally ready to start this journey again (when you can finally have sex again eh ??!)

Its all good from now on - you have been through the worst and I'm sure things will just get better and better for you...

Chin up chicken!

GL, I'm so glad you've no retained products and things are looking good. I can imagine how frustrated you are at the continued bleeding but it will stop soon I'm sure and then you can make up for lost weeks

The idea of a checklist made me chuckle as we're all ticking the stages off slowly but surely - we'll all get there in the end.

Here's to some positive summer months
