Anyone with experience on infection

Ok as you all know I miscarried naturally a week last Sunday and obviously been bleeding ever since, but the last couple of days I've noticed a change in the smell (sorry if tmi) it's kinda metalicy, having never had a miscarriage before how the hell am I supposed to know what it's supposed to smell like, I know that they said in the hospital that if I noticed any foul smelling discharge to ring, but it's not that bad. Have no pain, no temperature, do still feel a little light headed and having a lot of headaches but other than that nothing. Is it just that it's easing off and the blood is older? I hope it's nothing serious, I have my follow up apt on Friday anyway so I will mention it then. I am gonna do a preg test today I think, I got those cheap ones of ebay to see if it's still positive.

Hiya chick, I don't think it is anything to worry about, I noticed the same smell for a while, I put it down to the fact that I normally use tampons and wearing a towel just makes any odour more noticeable. Hope you are soon over all this

metalic is kind of normal cause blood is full of iron, if you have an increase of pain/blood/discharge/pain see your doc you may need antibiotics. but it sounds ok right now.

Just wanted to say I agree with all the other ladies that it's just a normal "Blood" smell but we notice it more as we're more aware of Knicker-checking! xx

Hi

Mine started on the 15th April too!! I have now been bleeding more or less all the time for 35 days!! I am very very very sick of it and like you I feel exhausted, they tested my blood and I am not anaemic though, I think the whole thing just drains all your energy, I keep getting upset and OH doesn't understand, he thinks cos I have been told it is all out that I should be ok and that the bleeding will just stop soon, the doc told me yesterday that my lining is really thick and to expect heavy bleeding any time soon! someone up there is having a laugh i swear it, how long do we have to put up with it all?

to you chick, I know just how you feel.

I'm doing fine now thanks. I only bled for 2 days so I have been clear for a week now, i ended up with a bit of cistitus (sp) but soon cleared that with some awful cranberry drink from boots! I have been told to take a HPT next Thursday to check its a .

I went back to work on Monday and everyone told me i looked really pale which is quiet funny at the best of times because I am really pale anyway so i must have looked transparent!!

Have you been back to your GP about your bleeding?
