I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya neighbour!! all the staff at both sites have been so nice with me, it really makes a difference when you feel they care doesn't it? I felt better staying in for the time I did, as you say it is comforting to have medical staff around and they keep checking on you to make sure you are ok, I had a private room with it's own bathroom so could just do what I wanted really, there is a tv you can watch if you like too. Is someone going with you? It is very upsetting I found and was glad OH was with me. If I were you I would take some painkillers before you go so they can kick in as the pains (well mine anyway) are like labour and I wish I had taken some prior to going in. Be prepared for a lot of blood and clots too, no-one really explained to me how much there would be and it came as a big shock.
(sorry if I have scared you, it really is horrible but was my preferred option as I really did not want surgery and it has worked for me despite having taken a long time!) | | | | Status: Offline

Although I think I'm doing okay at the moment, seeing the blood etc. will set me back a bit I reckon. I'm kind of expecting lots of blood (figuring that everything in there is going to come out in a pretty quick time) but it's one thing imagining it and quite another seeing it for real.
I appreciate your honesty with it all - it really helps to know the truth of what is going to happen. I'd much prefer to know what to expect.
The painkiller idea is a very good one - I think I'll do that! | | | | Status: Offline

The nurses told me to be there between 9 and 10. I assume I'll be there all day (6 hrs or so?). I'm going to stay rather than take the pessaries home with me (it's a long way back to Halifax as you know!)
Glad the OH has the day off tomorrow.
Ironically, my best friend has her first scan tomorrow (following 2 m/cs) to check all is well. It's a strange, strange world... | | | | Status: Offline

I didn't have that much blood when I m/c ( i was 7 weeks) just really painful stomach cramps. No one told me what to expect and I think it was the blood which was a real shock for me.
