Painkillers?

I have had/am having a missed miscarriage and although I am bleeding and have very bad cramps, I dont seem to be passing anything more substanital yet. Is there anything anyone can recommend taking for pain relief as I cant cope with days of this. I feel like an emotinal wasteland as it is, withoutbeing in physical pain too. I just wish it was all over so I could get on with putting my life back together

Hi so sorry you are going through m/c I had really bad cramps too and found the only thing that gave me relief was a wheat bag - you heat them up in the microwave, I preferred it to my hot water bottle but they help also, at one point duing my medical management I had hot water bottle on my back and wheat bag on my front! I tried paracetamol but that had no effect and I am not good with ibuprofen as they upset my stomach but the doc did recommend them especially if you have any inflammation inside which I think is quite common. Hope you get through this as quickly as possible, it is so awful, I am still bleeding but think am finally coming to the end

Sorry for your loss. Have you tried going to pharmacy and asking for a strong pain killer?

Sorry to hear of your loss, I've been through 3 missed m/c and used cuprofen max strength each time and that seemed to help for me, I also think warm water helps a lot with the pain and practically lived in the bath for two days, I hope it is over for you soon hun, my thoughts are with you x Take care

When I went through mine last week, I used Co-Dydromol (sp) as they were the ones recommended by the midwife. Think they are only through prescription, I took them every four hours and I hardly felt any pain. x Good luck!
