Confused and Devastated

So all last week I was cramping but everytime I called the doctors they said it was normal but if I started to bleed to go in and they would check everything out. I was 5wks 2 days. Well yesterday I started bleeding... I went to the doctors and they informed me I indeed did m/c I missed all the details cause I started crying and my mom just told me to lie down and sleep. Now I have no clue whats going to happen... I know that I will bleed for awhile but how long?
Can anyone help me... My mom isnt available to talk to cause she works when I am not in school and I am in school when she is not at work... I am devastated and just want some answers...

<3 Kelly

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know exactly what you mean about not taking anything in at the doctors - the nurse told me some things which I can't really remember but she did give me a leaflet, summarising what she had said:

The part re: non-medically managed miscarriage said:

"you will have period-like cramping pains and heavy vaginal bleeding. It is normal to bleed for up to two weeks.

A miscarriage usually completes within two weeks. However it can take longer than this. If this is the case, regular follow-up appointments with your healthcare team should be made.

Developing complications is rare (<3 in 100 will develop an infection). However, if you experience flu-like symptoms, a fever, severe stomach pains and heavy or unpleasant-smelling bleeding, contact your health team as soon as possible".

I'm sorry if that's TMI but I hope it's useful.

Lots of to you x
