Not sure how I should be feeling..

Just found out yesterday that I am no longer pregnant.

I had been to the doctor a week ago to be told that I was 6 weeks along and that everything seemed to look fine. Since hubby and I had so so wanted a baby we were so excited and started to think about the future. Maybe we were running ahead of ourselves?

But I took a really bad tummy bug and started bleeding, not sure if that is related...

So doctor sent me for a scan and our little bean had gone.

I know that we were only a little bit pregnant but I'm so upset, but I feel guilty cos I know that some ladies suffer a loss much later...

Does anyone or did anyone feel the same way?

I was very early like you and i wondered what i had done wrong such as going to my dance class. I cried and cried and what was worse is that no one knows we are TTC and so i couldn't share my sorrow with anyone apart from OH and he hated seeing me so upset and felt helpless.

Now we are stronger as a couple and very determined to make a baby. We appreciate what couples have to go through to make such a miracle.

Sorry for your loss.
I hope you feel well enough to try again soon.

Hey hun, so sorry to hear of your loss
I know exactly how you feel!
I am currently suffering from an miscarriage too, this is my 2nd in the last 5 months and both very early at 5 / 6 weeks. It's not easy no matter how far along you are although I do think it is physically more traumatic the further along you are and also the more plans you make the more plans you break (or as I prefer to say - put on hold)
Our 1st baby we made so many plans and had dreams of us being a happy family and when i m/c it tore us both up inside completly, this time we held back on being excited and planning anything as we were scared it might happen again. Now it has and as we didn't make any plans i have found it alot easier to cope with.
Mentally it is very hard and it has made me feel quite insecure and worried now too. I hope one day i can give my oh the baby we both so desperately want.
(sorry i'm going on a bit)
Any how, there is no normal way to feel but I can assure you many people who have been in our situation feel the same.
I really hope you get a sticky bean soon, we are not going to stop trying. Also most women who have 1 m/c go on to have a healthy baby next time (only about 1 in 35 have 2 in a row) just a bit of peace of mind for you, I dont want to scare you with what I just said about me
Good luck hun and lots of future stickiness for you xxx

There is no 'should' when it comes to feelings to do with your miscarriage. It is entirely yours and you will feel so many things...

Loss was the biggest feeling I felt following my miscarriage (At about 8 weeks). No matter how long you have pregnant, to have that come to an end is a terrible loss and you are more than entitled to feel cheated and upset - You had a little baby, and you lost it - there is nothing worse. Please don't feel guilty.

Big hugs to you, You're in my thoughts.

I just want to say thank you to all you lovely girls for the kind replies. Don't feel like I'm being such a drama queen now.

Feeling very vulnerable in such a strange country though. I know that people complain about the NHS but really it's fab! I had to pay through the nose to go to a doctor that was half decent to get my bad news.

Think I'll go home to N Ireland for a bit to eat lots of Cadbury's and drink lots of proper tea!

Thanks again girls
