Question

After effects of Medical management?

I had medical management last Saturday and I have still got cramps and am feeling sort of 'raw' if that makes sense, my bleeding has slowed down now and I have not passed any clots for since Tuesday, I just want to know if what I am experiencing is normal, I didn't expect the pain to continue so long

Hi,

we didn;t get off to a good start yesterday, but i am not sure you should still have alot of pain! I know my bleeding lasted ages, bout 10 days but no pain at all!!!

Perhaps you should call your GP and see what they say???

Hope it works out!

Hope the pain eases for you soon

HI there,

If you are at all worried you should go but to ur GP or the gynae. Don't worry about wasting their time, if it puts ur mind at ease. After all this is what we pay our taxes for!! Or just give NHS direct a call.

Hope you feel better soon x

Hey
Forgive me for being a bit dappy, but Im not entirely sure what the medical management actually is?
From my experience, I had a mc last year that just started to bleed itself and the cramps and clots lasted about 4 days, which I had no idea would - so when I found my baby had died again at 8 weeks, this time I insisted on having a D & C as is went on so long. I havent had any cramps since just after the op (which was 27th Apr) but i am still bleeding a bit...

Hope it all eases up for you

Hiya, how are you today abi? I started to m/c on 15th April - 3 weeks ago, I had a scan a few days later and then one 4 days after that which showed the sac had shrunk and they recommended one of 3 options: natural - wait and see what happens but be prepared for it to last 5/6 weeks, surgical - D&C or Medical Management - i opted for this as it sounded the best option but I thought it would be quick and not as painful as it has been! I went into hospital in the morning and had 4 pessaries inserted which started contractions and bleeding (lots of it & clots) and then 6 hours later I had the same drug but in oral tablet form which carried the contractions on and on and on.... it was horrible and I would not wish it on my worst enemy!! I wish now that I had just had the D & C instead and maybe I would be nearing the end of this nightmare!!! Sorry for that mini rant

Hey Im ok at work really busy when i should be taking it easy - boss semmed to have forgotten what I just went through, they should be grateful Im here!
(end of mini rant) How are you?

Thanks for that explanation - I am so sorry you have had it carrying on for so long - they did try to get me to have those tablets, but i refused as again, I thought it was them trying to fob me off so they didnt have to use their precious NHS money which i pay every month...

They shoudl take more time to explain all of this to you - its so unfair having to deal with this straight after such bad news...
