Pregant after misgarriage....whats the chances of it happening again??

Hi, I'm new here.

I fell pregnant Oct last year only to miscarry at 6 weeks in Dec 07. I'm now pregnant again, about 6 weeks but I can't stop worrying it will happen again
It's causing me alot of unneeded stress and feels like I am constantly thinking about something going wrong!

Does anyone know the chances of it happening again? I have no medical probs but I have read that it could increase my chances of it happening again, plus cant get an appointment with midwife until Fri 9th May...... arghhhh!!!

xxx

Im sure everything will be fine.... is what you dont need is stress!! Try not to worry and to just enjoy the fact you are pregnant!!! From what I have read there is no reason why this pregnancy doesnt continue for the full term!!! I think its after a second miscarriage docs look into it!!
I was so so anxious in my first 12 weeks and hadnt suffered from a miscarriage before so I can imagine you are like double as anxious!!
Once you get to 8 weeks the chances are reduced still!!
Good luck and relax!!! And you will enjoy your christmas baby!!!

Congratulations!!!! There's not much of a higher risk of miscarrying again. If you've had 2 miscarriages then it increases a little and by the 3rd miscarriage most Dr's will start running tests. I have a 2yr. old daughter and I just miscarried my 2nd child April 7, 2008 st 9wks. My Dr. said I can start trying right away and most people go full term and have a healthy baby! So keep your head up and leave it all in Gods Hands.

I'm feeling the same, all the what ifs. I've have had 3 miscarriages. Two were missed miscarriages after seeing the heartbeat. If there is nothing medically wrong, it really is up to luck. Stay positive hunny.

I agree with Carly.
I had my little boy whos 2 with no problems and then have gone on to have 2 missed miscarriages and like you i was petrified all the way through my last pregnancy but my period has just come so my journey starts again. I was told i still have a very good chance of having a baby. The want of having another is so strong im willing to get back on the saddle!
Most people have one and go on to have a healthy baby but really it can just go down to luck. I hope this is ur time sweets.
dont worry - its out of our hands you just have to look after u both as best u can. xx
