Close friend is pregnant...

I just found out a close friend of mine is pregnant. My first reaction was to be upset (found out through my husband so she wasn't there). I ultimately will be happy for her but right now I just wish that for myself. My husband was getting upset and saying that he can't listen to me compare myself to her. I was trying to explain that I'm not comparing myself to her, it's just upsetting to hear the news when you want that badly for yourself. Plus, my MC was not even two weeks ago, and I have to wait until my first AF to try again anyway, so now I feel like I can't even do anything about it. Has anyone else's husbands/partners/familiy reacted this way at all? Is this normal to be upset or am I being a little bit selfish?

it is a normal reaction

sometimes friends and family don't understand the depth of our pain. but your grief is still very new as well, and it takes time. I'm sorry

hi new here but wanted to send hugs, yes my husband reacts differently than i do, when my sister had her baby i bawled and he called me selfish - but this was to hide his own pain...it took me a few more episodes to find this out

Hi Hun - what you are feeling is completely normal. One of my close friends told me she was pg just after i found out about my molar pregnancy. I felt exactly the same as you.

It will get better in time - i still have my bad days but somehow you do find the strength to get through
