Hey Lynda... I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My first AF after my erpc was light and short - but the second was agony. Days of backache and cramps before it started, then very heavy and painful. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.... x

hi Lynda

It's such an awful time, so sorry for your loss. It was difficult to know what was AF and what wasn't with me for a while. I had bleeidng for about 7 weeks on and off after D&C and then a couple of really heavy bleeds that laid me up in bed for a few hours but they were only about 2 weeks apart. I counted the first day of the 2nd heavy bleed as CD1 and had a 16 day cycle before bleeding again, this time it was quite light and like normal AF. The next cycle (which I think was probably my first real cycle) was 30 days and I'm now CD5 of next cycle. that too was just like normal AF before MMC but I was feeling quite sickly for days before and mid cycle. I think it's all back to normal now. It seems that at some point most people are having at least one quite heavy, painful AF, it might be their 1st, 2nd or 3rd. For me I know I didn't get back to normal until after that painful episode. I now have a fertility monitor and it showed no ovulation on first cycle (or what I though was a cycle) but ovulation on CD16 of last cycle just gone. Probably about 10 weeks to start ovulation again but I do think it's quicker for the majority of people. x

Hello!

I'm in a similar boat... after waiting 10 weeks had a shortish AF, followed by a second shortish AF. In the middle of the cycle I've had cramps - more like dull ache plus headache and even backache, lasting over a week now (though it finally seems to be going down). This is more than what seems to be typical for ovulation pain, which I never remember having, so I'm a bit concerned... :/

I'll also be interested in hearing more similar experiences (even in too much details) and anything anyone thinks may be able to help.

Hugs to all!!

Im very sorry about your loss. I had my first af 6 weeks after my mc. First day was very light, second day very heavy then virtually nothing. Started my second one today and im really really feeling it. Its been over 5 weeks since first af but this been treatening to come now for prob close on two weeks. Although you may be due in three days it may not come on time.
