Can we try again so soon?

Hi ladies, I found out I was pregnant last wed and found out I was definately going to m/c yesterday after the 2nd set of blood results came through. I started spotting on saturday so I had a gut instinct that something was wrong. Anyways, I am currently in the middle of m/c and am looking forward to trying again. Its the only thing that is keeping me strong at the moment.
Anyways, my question is..can we try again this month? Is it dangerous?
Thanks

so sorry for your loss jackie*

i know just how you feel darling i had mmc just over 9 weeks ago*

my doctor and nurses said there was no reason why i should wait to try again. like you i was shattered by the whole thing but knew straight away that we both wanted a baby. the thing that kept me going was looking to the future in the knowlegde that soon it would be my time to have a baby, and that the one i lost sadly was not meant for this world*

so we started as soon as i felt ready - which was about 5 days after d&c.

i had a period 3 weeks after op and im 6 weeks pg today*

do whatever you feel is right for you and your partner darling, i was told that medically there is no reason to wait, your body will only catch when it is ready to*

hope this helps you, you will come through this a stronger person darling*

best of luck*

I'm very sorry hun. If you feel ready, I don't think you need to wait, maybe just 1 cycle but that's just for dating. I am choosing to wait mostly because I had a D&C (some but not all women miscarry again if they get pregnant soon after d&c). If you feel up to it, go for it.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

I don't think there is any danger in trying again right away, they usually tell women to wait until they've had their first period, but that's just for dating purposes. Good luck

I hear u are supposed to wait one af and try but then others havent and been fine. Im waiting 6 months due to being at uni and not wanting to leave half way thru the year.
Dont feel bad about thinking of trying again as that was all i can think about! When i found out i had a blighted ovum it was early march and i didnt have my d & C to the end of march. It was awful as mo oh panicked(he hates hospitals) and said leave it for 2 -3 yrs until i finish uni. I was soo upset as it made me feel worse as i expected to try again b4 that. We have agreeded 6 months so im happy as ive got the all clear at the hospital today so im gonna make the most of the next 6 months eg get the house in shape, pay off more debts etc.

Soooo i think its totally normal as i have passed so many pregnant ladies in the past weeks and if i was pregnant i would be so much happier seeing them, but 6 months is better than 2 yrs for me
Wishing u the best

Thanks for your reassuring comments girls....
Porkpie..you poor thing. Heres a big just for you.
Although its extremely gutting I am already looking to the future and really want to start ttc as soon as possible.
Do you think I can class my early m/c as a sort of 'late period' as I am only a week late in theory, so if I hadnt known I was early pregnant I would have just thought I was late for AF and started ttc again anyways.
My doc says this is extremely common and most women who experience this dont even know it!

Hi Jacqui really sorry for what you're going through. I had a mc beginning of March and although my doc told me he'd prefer I wait one cycle I was naughty and didn't... and I got pregnant without an AF inbetween, therefore I must have ovulated just two weeks after he mc.
My mc was early - at 5.5 weeks so I (self diagnosing as I am) reckoned it was an early one therefore hopefully not a big risk in trying straight away.
I'm now 6weeks 5 days and although I am prepared for this to go wrong, so far things are OK.
Am having an early scan soon.
I say do what feels right. I hear they only worry about an AF or two for dating purposes and so as not to use up valuable resources on ''worried'' mums to be on early scans etc etc.
So I say go for it!
Good luck xxx

Hi, I've only found out I was pregnant 3 times because I was miscarrying (if that makes sense). I must say because I was younger and not even TTC I didn't really think about it. I've had a MC and ectopic whilst TTCing.
I think it's really upto you when you try again, as long as you've been given the all clear then you're good to go. I had a D&C with the MC and a lap with the ectopic so obviously I had to wait longer. The reason they tell you to wait for your first period is so they can date the pregnancy. I've been told you're much more fertile after a MC because you're body's already prepped and ready to go Emotionally only you know when you're ready, with the MC I'd known I was pregnant for 11 weeks so I needed some time to get over it, but with the ectopic I wanted to try straight away and was frustrated when I was told I had to wait 3 months.

Hi, my gynae told me to wait 3 months, supposedly enough time for the lining to sort itself out. I have heard conflicting advice on this though. I also know plenty of people who tried again straight away and went on to have healthy babies. I would say as soon as you feel ready, go for it!
