Any tips to speed along a natural miscarriage?

Have posted elsewhere that I'm still waiting - 3 weeks along - for my natural miscarriage. Bled a lot the first week and passed bits of the sac, but scan last week showed that the pregnancy sac and baby were still there (I was 10 weeks at m/c but baby had stopped growing after 8+4 scan)

Midwife said there was nothing I could do to speed it along but just thought I'd see if anyone had any tips?

The midwife told me about one lady who left the EPU, went for a huge jog along the beach and that helped things.

I drank plenty - i mean LOADS!

Exercise and fluids hun, I know you might not feel up to it but even if its a run, or a play around on the wii.

I'm so sorry for your loss huni. xxxxxxxxxx

Hi

I second the advice to keep active; also I found what helped for me was taking loads of starflower oil, flaxseed oil and nigella sativa oil in capsules (the nigella sativa is somewhat harder to get hold of but it can be found in some Asian and Middle Eastern shops), I took 8 of each capsule at once; it helped the majority of the bleeding to happen in the space of a few hours; then it helped when I had a tiny piece of possible retained products I wanted to get rid of. These oils contain natural prostglandins; really a natural version of what they give you in a medically managed miscarriage. If nearly everything has come out anyway its worth a try. If it works then its not going to have any side effects; if it doesn't work at least you know you tried.
