Sorry to ask but need advice

Hi there
Im really sorry to ask this question. I also went through a m/c myself 5 years ago but I need some advice.
My friend is 8/9 weeks pg and is having pains in her side.
I know I didnt have this, my pains were in my stomach
Could this be a sign of m/c?
(Dont worry I wouldnt tell her if it was but I am worried for her)

Aches and pains are very normal all the way through pregnancy. I had some terrible pains (period like pains and stabbing) when I first got pregnant and thought I was going to m/c but it was probably just growing and stretching pains. It's probably best to try to reasure her that it's common in early pregnancy but if they are very intense it could be ectopic so she should see a doctor to check.

I hope it all goes well for her. I have heard of people saying they've been stuck in bed with the pains in early pregnancy before but still been fine so hopefully it will be nothing.

I use to have stabbing pains, and it was the ligaments stretching; it was very painful and did take my breath away.

the only thing you can do is be supportive and encourage her to seek help if the pain becomes too much
