When I was in hosp with my boys I was on progesterone injections every other day to slow the labour/dilating down. I had no side effects from it.

Well I haven't heard of progesterone injections for mc but suppositories/pessaries, yes. They're quite commonly used for women who have or might have a luteal phase defect which means low progesterone to prevent a mc (if that is indeed the reason for the mc), some docs use them without checking the progesterone levels just as a precaution. I was using them for that reason when I was pregnant, unfortunately mine ended in a mmc but not from a lack of progesterone. As far as I know, using them vaginally there are no side effects, it can happen tho (as in my case), that if the baby doesn't make it for other reasons, they can delay an actual miscarriage (I had to have a D&C). Hope this, and the progesterone, helps you get and stay pregnant! Best of luck!
