Confused

I have been reading some info on hpt after miscarriage as the hospital said they would do a hpt when i go for my app next tue and if its still pos they will have to do an ultrasound and if neg then they don't. All the info i am reading is basically saying that it takes weeks before you get a neg hpt after a mc so was wondering why they would do one if this is the case

Anyone get a neg hpt right after mc?

Hi..my doctor sent me to hosp for a scan today, I started miscarrying on Saturday night, and my hpt at the hosp was negative already. They have to do it just to make sure, as most don't trust shop bought hpt's. They gave me a scan anyway, just to make sure everything was coming away as it should be etc. I think everyone is different tho..I miscarried in October, and my tests were still positive for a few days after I started bleeding. You could maybe ask for a scan, to put your mind at ease? xx

I'm getting a scan in a week but was just curious as i took a test yesterday and was still positive so was wondering if everything had come away or not. I'm still bleeding but the pain has gone. I passed some huge clots on Sunday but wasn't sure if there's more to come.

Guess i'll have to wait til Tuesday to find out.

As far as i know they do that if you've had a natural miscarriage because if theyre still coming up positive they'll scan you to check if you've had a complete miscarriage but if its negative they dont, good luck tuesday
