I'm Currently Feeling: | d&c help Hey guys.. found out today i have a blighted ovum (should be 8wks, have completely empty sac measuring 6 and a half wks)
I have decided that im going to go in for erpc which they say should be done tomorrow or friday... and im scared.
Has anyone had this done? What can i expect before/during/after?
Would you do it again or wait it out naturally? | | | | Status: Offline

| wishes ive had both. had a eprc which went fine and to be honest i prefered it to the natural way, i miscarried on saturday and it was really upsetting as i saw my babys sac and had a scan today and not passes all the clots/tissue so may have to go in for the tablet method to expell whats there.
having a miscarriage naturally is much more traumatic.
dont worry babes the doctors have done this so many times and will take care of you. my body got back to normal very quickly with a erpc this time its dragging on | | | | Status: Offline

I think if i can avoid any more upset then i will.
Thank you hun. Its nice to hear from someone whos had both. It must be so hard to go through this more than once. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | eprc meand d&c?
If so, I had it done twice.
I prefer the time where I had the general anesthesia as I didnt feel a thing. The second what with no anesthesia. So ask you doctor. You don't feel anything. You will start bleeding that same day and the doctor probably wont work too much in it to avoid scratching the uterus so expect to see lots of blood clots.
The pain that comes is period like pains.
I am sorry u r going thru this. Blighted ovums are a scary thing, and am sorry this happened to you too.. with me it was a nightmare.. please be strong | | | | Status: Offline
