Not sure if this is the right place to post this but just wondered what peoples experience of it was, is it guarenteed to work etc? I got prescribed it today xx

I started Provera on Jan. 21 for 10 days.

On Feb. 2 for 5 days, I experienced a very light flow when on BC and prior to taking BC, I would have very heavy periods. I called the nurse and she said this was normal and to consider it a period and start counting.

I am now on CD15 and start the next round of Provera tomorrow. DH and I have been bd'ing in hopes of a baby, but I've had a hard time figuring when I ovulate.

How are things going with you? Did you take the Provera?

Thanks for the reply! Well the dr told me 2 have protected sex for 2 weeks then do a pregnancy test to check i wasnt pregnant and then start taking the provera. So today the 2 weeks was up, I woke up got dressed ready to go buy a pregnancy test, went to the toilet and found out i had come on! Typical so i havent needed them!lol can i ask why you have been prescribed them? are you taking them evry month to get a period?

I was prescribed them in late January because I stopped taking the pill back in November and haven't gotten a period since. I had been on the pill for 12 years. I will never go back on it again!

So my dr put me on Provera for 10 days for the next 3 months to force AF. This month on the 2nd to the 5th, I had very light bleeding (when I am normally VERY heavy flow). I called my dr and he said that was normal and to count it as CD1.

Now I also started taking digi OPKs as well this month, in hopes to get preg. Last Wednesday CD16, I got a big smiley face and now, 5 days later, am still getting a smiley face. I have no idea what's going on. The dr said Provera wouldn't affect the results so I'm really confused. I posted a thread on here asking if anyone else has had positive OPKs for that long, but no one yet. I'm thinking about calling my dr tomorrow.

Glad that you didn't need them!!! I am pretty upset that I didn't go back to normal after stopping the pill, but for some reason, I had a feeling that was going to happen...
