11 weeks later...and still no sign of AF

Shold i have had it by now? if there was anything left in my womb would this be stopping me getting my period? My periods were irregular before i got pregnant but i was really hoping to have had it by now ive had a couple of days where i have had the most tinyist bit of brown discharge but it was only when i wiped and it was only the once and this has happened on 2 different occasions. Is this normal?

Hey

This is something that was hugely worrying me. I was told 4-6 weeks after ERPC, period should return. After 8 weeks nothing although I was sure I ovulated twice. Had no brown discharge at all either.Went for internal scan to make sure no retained retained tissue - there was none and my lining was 6mm (not too thin). Doc said let nature take its course. It finally arrived after 9 weeks (yesterday). I was having awful contraction type pains for a while but no blood. Massaged my tummy and a few mins later, felt as if something escaped. Thankfully, it was period. Never happier or relieved to see it. No clots and looks normal.

Go for an internal to put your mind at ease. I started imagining the worst - scarring.

Let us know how you get on.

I didn't bother with GP as I wanted to deal with a speacialist. Maybe infertility specialist will take blood tests to check hormones but worth getting internal scan done also.

Sk, I'm happy for you as I knew you had cause to be worried. It's a bit of relief for me, too, and hopefully also for anyone else still waiting...

Bumbyboo, I'm pretty much in the same boat... It'll be 8 weeks since D&C on Friday, already 8 weeks since mc and I try not to think of it and hope it'll come within days. Two and a half weeks after D&C I had an internal scan which showed nothing, and my lining measured just 3mm. I also been feeling a bit "faint" at times these past few days - I'm wondering if it's some weird hormonal surge prior to AF but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Please let me know how it goes with the doctor!

9 weeks... mmm.... Any idea when I should tell my GP? After 8 weeks? Longer? I just want to get used to the idea...

If it changes anything I was regular before, but I know anything goes after what we've been through...
