Livia - do you know if you have ovulated recently? I know that I ovulated 2 weeks ago and so was expecting my period when it arrived. Also, 3mm after 2.5 weeks sounds really good. Mine was 6mm 8 weeks after ERPC. So, your uterus should have thickened even more. The wait is so awful and anxiety inducing. Have you had any pains/cramps?

Hi Livia, I was in the same boat till AF came yesterday. Was so relieved but now am worried, I barely bled today and its now stopped all together so I made an appointment with my GP. Am a little worried that my GP may just tell me not to worry but the least he can do is arrange a scan. I will keep you posted. But yeh am totally with you on feeling like the waiting is such a waste of precious time

Thank you all!

I have not been testing for ovulation, other than checking my cervix over 2 weeks ago when I spotted and it seemed soft, then getting harder... I try not to think to much about it, and also I'm as poor as a rat... so no tests for me. I had a tiny bit of cramping around then... but not much, and none lately.

I can't TTC for other reasons until at least next autumn but I'll feel "ill" until my body is back to its old regular self... It doesn't help that doctors seem to give no importance to periods disappearing, for example (that's how I discovered I was pregnant) so I feel I'll be "lost" unless my body just manages... like the_key... I fear they'll not take it seriously...

I keep feeling liquid and going to the toilet and nothing...
This is all very annoying...

Livia - I really sympathise with you. It felt like such a weight on me when I had no period by 6 weeks. It was even more worrying reading the forums and seeing that many women got their periods back by 4/5 weeks. I was worrying constantly and thinking the worst. Try to get another scan and some hormone blood tests done to see what is happening. x

Thanks...
I went in just now for my new patient check with the nurse (there was a mixup) and she told me not to worry until it's been 12 weeks!!!
But she'll try, (if she remembers, I guess) check for hormones when she does my normal urine test for glucose and such... I'm tempted to leave a kind reminder note...

She did say it was important for infections not to have unprotected sex... I say I'm religiously following condom instructions... then offers folic acid... I'm not sure I get her logic!

Patboy, so sorry to hear about your losses and long recovery period.

I eventually had a first period at 10+ weeks. The next two cycles were worrisome, as they were light and full of aches, which worried me insane. But the current one seems more normal, so I guess I'm finally settling down.

From what I recall other people that were writing in this thread also got their periods back around 9-11 weeks after.
It seems it's not worrisome, for doctors, until it's been 12 weeks, so you may still have to wait. If you do get that far - I hope not - make sure they look into it!!

Since you miscarried before... did you always get your period back quickly? Was anything different this time? (time at mc; type of management,...). If you don't want to talk about this it's just fine - I just wonder why our bodies sometimes make us wait so long...

Crossing fingers for you! Hugs!
