Hi i had an earlym/c at 6.5 weeks two weeks ago but......the doc says to do a test if my period doesnt arrive on time??!( IM like clockwork every 32 days) has any one heard of this?? Decided to carry on ttc straight away so fingers crossed ive heard that you are very fertile after a m.c is it true??

Hi Tinks, I had to do one about 10 days after my m/c and then phone the result through to the EPU. AF returned 4 weeks to the day of the start of my m/c.

Yes, you are also right that us ladies are very fertile after a m/c.

Thanks its nice to talk to people in the same situ, I havent tested since m/c havent even got blood results back yet.....rang docs and cant find them??! Never mind Fingers crossed xxx

I know when I m/c, I found this forum fantastic. People just want to talk and listen too.

On the morning of my scan after m/c, the EPU took bloods which showed I still had the pregnancy hormone (at a very low level) but recommended that I take a 2nd pregnancy test to confirm the hormone had gone.

That is really bad about your blood tests.

I had a d&c 4 weeks ago tomorrow and i can relate to what you're saying. No blood tests though.. i did do a pg test at home a week after and had a bfn which made me happy as we too decided to ttc right away.. im still waiting for my af..nothing yet..i was told at hospital to expect af 3-4 weeks after..but i also suspect i ov last week so af should be due next weekend.

It is quite common for women to get pg quite soon after a mc as your body is primed..having already been pg, recognising the signs etc..

Having said that it is also very common for your body to take its time to regulate back to normal, and the bit i find difficult..for things to, at first not be as you are used to... cycles changing, bleeding changing..its a waiting game..im still waiting.. and so far my suspected ovulation was not as it usually is, no ov pain etc.. have been feeling very different than normal. But Im hopeful that once i do get my af things will settle down to how i remember it!

I had ablighted ovum and positive preg test 4 weeks later!!!. Should say I had a scan at 11 weeks and foetus had died at 7 weeks .

AH thats awful. Is it just me or is the support and information(from docs etc) after suffering a m/c shocking!!!! They just dont care its nice to be on here and talk.....
Hoping no morefor 9 months

I cant really complain about docs or the nhs.. They've been great to me, but then i get the feeling its all a bit hit and miss, really..depending on where you are etc..me and my friends have been lucky i guess..

By the way, i had a missed mc diagnosed at my 10 week scan..baby died 2 weeks earlier.. Im feeling strong though and ive been back it.

Hi all, I miscarried recently at 5wks 2days, did a preg test a week later and still faint positive, had blood test and hcg ws 19 (v low which was good!) then that day also did preg test at home which was negative.
I think the hormone lingers for longer or shorter with different women.
But once hcg lowering and going - or better yet gone!- i believe it's safe and fine to try again.
I have been trying again this month......So nervous but hopeful.
BFPS all round, I really hope!!!
