3 Pregnancies lost - any advise?

I had an ectopic pregnancy in Aug 07 at 6.5 weeks and lost my left tube. I was gutted, but remained positive as the doctor said the other side was fine and everything should be ok. I was advised to wait 3 months before trying again.

I then got pregnant again straight away, but had a miscarrige at 5 weeks. I was upset, but at least i knew everything worked. The doctor advised to wait a month.

As before I got pregnant again the first time I tried. All seemed to go well until the begining of week 6 when all my symptons, except sore boobs, stopped. I went to EPU and had a scan and was told all was ok - good size and heartbeat. Now at week 8 my boobs stopped hurting and shrunk back to normal size and this morning I got a negative pregnancy test result (i tested because i just don't feel pregnant anymore). I know I have lost this baby too and have a private scan tomorrow to confirm - the hospital and doctor have taken no notice of my concerns.

The problem is I just don't know how to carry on anymore. I have been unable to eat or sleep for the past 2 weeks through worry. I desperately want to have a baby, but don't have the strength to try anymore. It is making me so depressed. I am 34 so worried I am running out of time.

Can anyone give me advise...my world if falling apart

I'm so sorry for your losses. Is it possible for you to go to another doctor/hospital. After three losses they really should be investigating in my opinion

Not good enough! Make them listen or consider change of GP!

You may find my TTC journal of interest.

My journey started off with an ectopic & was full of alot of heartache after. I was determined to carry on although I thought with all my heart I was doomed after reoccuring chemicals that were confirmed I then just knew & the dread of testing EVERY day until there was no line left. In a sense I was obsessed.

I hope you stay strong in completing your dream and from someone whos been in your position (more than ahandful of times) maybe you could see a positive possibility.

Would also like to suggest taking 'baby aspirin' Im sure it helped me like others will agree they think it played apart in a successful pregnancy.

Hi, I am also 34 and I have had 5 miscarriages - I will also be 35 this year! Don't panic as it is not old - especially these days when you see all the celebs getting pregnant at 40+. Also, the older you are, the higher chance of a multiple birth! (That scared my hubbie!) Demand tests! They should be checking you and your OH for every reason - and ask to have your progesterone levels checked too! Something I am going to the docs for to get checked on Thursday as they haven't tested that yet. All I can suggest is read through this forum - it will give you loads of ideas for questions for the doc. Good luck for today with your private appt and please don't despair. Sending you hugs x
