I very much doubt it's implantation spotting as it's too late I think. I believe you get implantation spotting much earlier - around 7-14 DPO and I am 26 DPO.

I went for an US today.
Well, it started off much much better than I expected - went in for the US, the technician told me I measured 5w 4d (FF says 5w 5d). Then, amazingly I heard this "bah-boom, bah-boom" - OMG - yes, it was the heartbeat!! At this point I am pretty emotional and obviously surprised. So that was that - called DH and my mother and a friend and told them the news - and of course my OB.
I then had to wait for my actual US results so I had to go back to ER to get them.
The ER doctor took me into a room (my friend's husband that I don't really know) and he said that they found no reason for the bleeding and that I measured 5w 6d BUT the heart rate was very low - he said it was 100 bpm and said that it should be between 140-160 BPM!!! He said often when heartbeats are low, the pregnancy doesn't make it.
So, I called my OB and told her what he'd said. She said yes that is pretty low and with a low heart rate the pregnancy often doesn't make it. I asked her if I should be worried and she said no! Now obviously, how can I not be worried with that information.
I realise I can do absolutely nothing about it anyway - BUT it's just more info to stress me out.
I came home and went to the bathroom and there was bright red blood again - quite a bit in my underwear - just one time, no cramps and I think it's just turned to blood tinged CM (I hadn't had any bleeding since Tuesday evening).
So there we go. I just have to wait until next Wednesday for my next US and hopefully the HB will have increased.
p.s. lots of info you read on the internet says that the heart rate starts out slower and increases pretty quickly after about 5.5 weeks. I did ask him if it should really be that high this early on and he insisted it should be. I asked if it would start slower and increase gradually and he said no, it would be higher from the start.
Most of what I've read on the internet says contradicts that. Although it's absolutely true that a low heart rate early on (very low) definitely increases chances of MC.
So it's not all positive. BUT, more positive than I was expecting in that it's not a blighted ovum and it's still alive!!

Fingers crossed it all turns out well for you. I would echo what someone above said about a Urinary Tract Infection- if those get really bad the infection can go to your kidneys and cause bleeding as well as causing miscarriage in early pregnancy. It's very simple to test for a UTI at the doc's and antibiotics kick in quite quickly. It's worth checking out...

Well, the back pain has gone - in fact, no cramping at all. I now just have some blood tinged CM. My OB mentioned that she thought possibly I'd had an ovarian cyst that had burst that had caused the bleeding and pain - but I don't think the US showed anything. Since the pain has gone, I think it probably isn't a UTI. Also, I only had a urine test on Monday and the backache started Monday night, spotting Tues am.

Honey implantation bleeding does always present itself right away, I did bleed from 6wks to 10 weeks, but all was OK.

You'll be surprised how early pregnancy turns out. I was told almost certainly my bean wouldntmake it, as the sac was growing at a slower rate than beanie. However two weeks later everything and panned out ok.

I hope everythings ok!

Just thought I would update you on my situation. I had a follow up appointment today after my US last week where they found a low heartrate and I am happy to report great news!!
Firstly, I measured at 6w 6d (and FF said 6w 4d!) so that's encouraging. My new due date as it stands is 29th July!
The little darlings  has picked up some speed thankfully! The heartbeat measured averaged at 127 I think and she said it went as high as 134. She said my doctor may want to do more ultrasounds because of the bleeding or she may be happy to leave it be.
They saw a cyst on my ovary and also some fluid in my uterus, but did not seem worried.
So that's really fantastic news. My next OB appointment is scheduled for 30th December - not sure if she'll want to see me before then or not.
So, dare I say it, I am going to relax (a little bit anyway) and enjoy the festivities that I've got coming up - starting this afternoon.
Have told my parents but am waiting to announce it to my in-laws when they visit from England on 23rd December. Will wait to tell the general population probably until after the New Year - unless I happen to grow lots and can't hide it!
Thanks for your support on this board.
