Don't know how far gone I was?

I really need some help my dr thought I had an early mc but never really talked about it or went through it with me which I am now pissed off about! Lately I have been looking in my diary wondering if I was in fact 7 weeks pregnant not four. The reason i'm not sure is that I was very ill with a stomach flu so wouldn't of noticed too many pregnancy symptoms. My periods were pretty regular 4 weeks but then I had a light period a week late which was 4 weeks after having unprotected sex then I also had pmt symptoms plus a very sore vagina, thrush and achey pelvic area. A week after I had the mc I had a faint positive pregnancy test. Pls can someone help me pls ask for more info I just can't think what else to add.

Thank you

Lynda

hi - it's normal for a home pregnancy test to come up positive a week or more after a m/c because there's still hormone in your body.

Did you have a surgical procedure (D&C or ERPC) or a natural miscarriage?

A naural mc the dr hasn't done anything no tests nothing apart from an internal months after as I was still getting symptoms. If I was 7 or so weeks pregnant would the test show positive for longer.

It depends from person to person how long the hormone stays in your system, but it can stay in for a few weeks (and I'd think that it would take longer at 7 than 4 weeks). But you know they measure dating from your last period, so if they say 7 you've only been pregnant 5; 4 weeks would mean you got pregnant 2 weeks before (i.e., they add 2 weeks to the time of conception).

They never told me how far I was my dr just assumed it was like a chemical but I disagree and think I was about a month that's from the date we had unprotected sex as we were not having it that much and I've got it written down. Also can u get pregnant anytime during your cycle?

you generally can get pregnant about 5 days before or 1-2 days after you ovulate. sperm live about 5 days and egg 1 or 2. if you have a regular cycle, you probably ovulate 14 days before your period starts. hope that helps.
