(this won't make much sense if you haven't read my prior post)

So I had the u/s, and my lining has gone from 15mm on Thursday to 11mm today -- furthermore, "vascular tissue" is seen in premenstrual lining too, so it is not necessarily the dreaded "retained products". I saw a different doctor today -- the one who was lined up for the D&C tomorrow -- and she said that at this point, there doesn't appear to be a need for surgery, the lining is thin enough she would worry about all of the possible complications. Coupled with the fact that my bleeding is steadily waning, this seems to be wrapping itself up on its own, thank you very much. They will do a HCG test in a week, to see if I'm at zero yet.

Man, to think they almost convinced me I should have gone ahead with surgery last Friday! I guess I wasn't being hysterical and irrational after all. Just hysterical -- sometimes you have to trust what your uterus is telling you.
