Were you told what happens to fetal tissue after ERPC?

Hi

Just wondered if it was explained to you what happens to fetal tissue after ERPC?

Just a bit worried as I stupidly never asked. It is being sent off for testing and so I hope they don't just incinerate it with other clinical waste.

Hi hun, yeah i was told and also in leaflet from hospital (hospital policy)( unless you ask them not too), that all miscarried babies are blessed and cremated and ashes spead on the baby garden of remeberance at the local cemetry, which is lovely , and only a week before this happened i found out my uncle played a huge part in getting the baby garden at the cemetry as he and a few other raised the money to buy the land off the council after my cousin (his son) died at 6months from cot death x x

How lovely of your uncle. Bless him. So sorry about your cousin. My daughter too passed away shortly after her birth.

I had my ERPC done at a private hospital and so maybe they are not under obligation to say what happens. Will call them in the morning. x

How lovely of your uncle. They told me they also did this at my hospital but only after asking. We still chose to bring Edan home but I think it is lovely they do this.
