Bleeding After ERPOC

I had an ERPOC on Monday and was told that I would bleed and the bleeding would continue to be heavy on that day then get lighter and brown and would continue for 10-14 days.
I have been bleeding bright red since Monday and it's getting heavier and not showing any signs of changing to brown.
I just wondered if anyone could give me any advice on their experiences as it's worrying me that it is like this.
Thanks x

Please call your doctor's office -- this could be ok, but better safe than sorry. They told you what to expect partly so you could notify them if something different happened.

its such a pain! Cause all the advice says everyones diffo e.t.c

After my erpc which was done as medical hadnt worked 8 weeks earlier!

My bleeding on the day of the op and after was similer to day 2/3 of medium heavy period. then bleeding turned to spotting stop start. I found the more i moved about the hevier or the more the bleeding would continue.

My cousin bleed for nearly 3 weeks after erpc but not super heavy.

If you are worried i would recomend you ring and speak to your GP or EPU nurse if you can even if its just to put your mind at rest.

Be rational (i know its hard christ do iknow!) ask yourself

Sorry bout the spelling

AM I bleeding so much that im becoming to exhausted to function--i.e losing so much blood that your body is unable to fully replace it maybe leaving you a little anemic temporarily?

Are you having to change pads more than every hour?

Do you have cramping pains still?

Do you feel unwell flu like?

You know if your worried--the being worried part can damage your health just as much in long run!!! Ask a medical proffesional thats what they are paid for!

You might find ringing NHS direct helpfull- sometimes you will get a sympathetic nurse if you are in the u.k

I know its a cliche but sometimes we just have to give our bodys time but if you feel something is wrong or you just cant settle then trust your gut instinct and ask for help!

I was told that if the bleeding is extensive (soaking excessive pads) or you have unusally painful cramps or a temperature then ring a&e.If your worried in anyway then definatly ring the ward you were on, the nurses there know there stuff and im sure they could advise you

My GP just told me today that if I had any bleeding four days after my ERPC to call her and she would book me a scan... That could be do to my history of bleeding, but I'd call your GP.

Thank you to you all for your advice.

I am very sorry for each of your losses.

I finally seem to be coping a little better and it helps to know that I am not alone even though it is very sad that this happens to us.

I saw my GP earlier this week who just said to give it a little time for the bleeding to cease, I have done and the bleeding has eased off and I am just spotting red with just a little in a panty liner (sorry TMI).

Thankyou again
Kim xx
