Advice about bleeding after miscarriage

Hi I was just wondering if any one had any thoughts / advice on my situation.

I had a miscarriage at around 11 weeks at the end of August. The miscarriage was medically managed. 6 weeks weeks later my AF came and 29 days after that on 2nd Nov my AF came again - all looking good so far. After 4 to 5 days I thought my AF had gone but now 11 days later I am getting slight staining during the day. The blood seems to mixed with my cm and its just alittle strange I would have expected my AF to have gone. Do you think this could be a sight of infection? I have no pains or cramps. I know its early days since the miscarriage but this is the first I have ever had slight staining durning non period days and I am not sure what to make of it. I have booked a doctors appointment but its a week and a half away!! Should I be more concerned.

Would appreciate any feedback - thanks

Don't want to read and run, but I would try not to worry, I think it may just be spotting - perhaps the last parts coming through your body. I am sure the doctor will be of more use, but if it is worrying perhaps you could call the EPAU in your area if there is one and ask there advice, they often say whether you should worry or not.

Hope this helps a little to ease worrying x

Hi

Its good you are getting it checked out; better safe than sorry; but I doubt it is anything sinister. It could be your hormones a bit out of kilter; or it could be a harmless condition called cervical erosion (sounds scarier than it is) where some cells that bleed easily migrate to the outside of the cervix; rather than being on the inside where they remain undisturbed, its not due to an infection or anything sinister, just hormonal upheaval and it usually resolves itself pretty quickly. Hope you get answers at your appointment!

Soph x

Thanks for your advice Kittykatbabe & sophster - I know its prob not much to worry about and a tiny bit of bleeding here and therer is only to be expected as my body deals with whats happening. At least the doctors appointment is in place if the bleeding contuines over the next week. Thanks again.
