Just when I was starting to feel better!!

m/c a week ago so have obviously felt miserable since, today has been the first day when felt a little better, have decided to do a bit of decorating to keep busy (back to work wednesday).
Had to visit oh dad this evening (for his birthday) and all he kept on about was when was he going to have grandchildren!!
I know he's not to blame because he knows nothing about the m/c, but I had to just get up and leave and have been crying ever since.
I feel like I have let everyone down including our baby.

Sorry to rant, just want to feel better.

Hi hun

Oh no I am so sorry; its really rough when people are unaware and they mean no harm and are totally oblivious to the fact that what they are saying is totally heartbreaking. In a way you're damned if people knew; as they can be quite suffocating with their sympathy; and damned if you don't because people really have no idea what you're going through. I do hope you feel better soon; and keeping yourself occupied is the best policy, we are in the process of moving at the moment its hectic but keeps our mind off it all.

Soph x

Oh I know how you feel! I misscarried today (or got it confirmed, they are doing the d&c tomorrow morning) and I feel the same way - like i let everyone down, mom that was so happy about a grandchild, my husband and even the little bean - that something is wrong with me or my body.
I know we shouldnt feel like this but probably all women do to a certain extent, we are the ones who so intimately carries these seeds iinside ourselves, these lives.
Wish you all the best in your recovery!

All the time people ask whether my husband and I have kids - I try not to give them a blank stare, of course they don't realize such an innocent question can hit a nerve.

And yeah, I feel bad for my mom - she already has grandkids, by I'm her only daughter, and she'd gone out and bought a present for the baby when she was on a trip this summer (last pregnancy), and now this one didn't work out either...
