first AF after mc, woohoo!

Hi

it started on Thursday which was exactly six weeks after my mc *really* happened i.e. when most of the 'contents' came out but wasn't sure if it was AF or not as it started off as light brown spotting and then turned to a watery red yesterday but not enough to stain a pad; I was getting a bit worried but then today it came on like AF proper, whew. We aren't going to 'deliberately' TTC after this but really hoping my cycles get back to a semi-normal pattern as before the pregnancy and mc they had inexplicably gone to 60-70 days one month and stuck like that...keep me in your thoughts...

Hey that is good news Soph! Hope you are feeling well. You really are a great source of support on this board. Wish you all the best.

Have you considered accupuncture to regulate your cycles?

Hi

thank you, you know its funny you should ask that; because my sister was just asking her acupuncturist for a recommendation of one down my end (since I live in London they are very expensive); but thats a couple of days before I found out I was pregnant. I am going to ask her again as I have heard it can really help.

Yes, do look into it. I have read many positive things about it. As you are in London, there will probably be a greater variety of fertility type accupuncturists. On another forum, I remember women raving about Ian at this place http://www.balance-acupuncture.co.uk/practitioners.htm No idea what he charges but as he is a specialist, might be worth a session. xx

Hi

thanks; looks good but I'd prefer a female acupuncturist, do you know of any in London with a good reputation and not too pricey (prices similar to the above would be fine)? If not I'll ask my sis to ask her acupuncturist again.

Hi

thanks all. I thought I'd be one of those for whom it takes longer since my cycle is so 'shot out' to begin with, so I didn't even stock up on pads, OH and I were meant to go to tesco today but in the end didn't get time as he is working from 4pm to 2am today, luckily I've found a few individually wrapped ones knocking about amongst the stuff I've packed (since we're moving, not exactly great timing I know).
