Dr Appt Thursday

I have had some cramping on my left side for about 2 weeks off and on and its kinda like a period cramp but no period showed. I had a D and C 8 weeks ago today. They want me to come in on Thursday to get examined and have an ultrasound to see if it is a cysts on my ovary. If so they may diagnose me with PCOS. I'm tired of being set back...I want my baby to hold. It's been over a year now and I'm desperate to get and have a healthy pregnancy. Has anyone else had any problems with a cysts after a miscarriage and D & C?

I wish you the best of luck with your appointment. Have they done blood tests such as cd3 and 21 blood tests to see if there is any hormonal imbalance that can be picked up? Over here they tend to take the results of both the scan and blood tests in conjunction. If you haven't had cysts before; its possible to get ovarian cysts as a one-off and they can be quite common after pregnancy but sometimes just occur due to no particular cause, if they get large and rupture they can wreak quite some havoc; unlike the cysts in PCOS though they don't tend to indicate or cause any long term hormonal issues. If it doesn't turn out to be cysts what are they talking of doing next to try and find out the cause?

So I finally got my ultrasound results back today. I ended up trying to ovulate and having a hard time doing so. It ruptured right outside my ovary and formed a small cyst. They told me to wait 2 weeks and if I didn't start then to call. They've been telling me that for a while though, so who knows. I'm about to change doctors I think. He's a super sweet guy just not as thorough as I wished!

did they tell you you have multiple cysts; or just that one? If your doctor is not being thorough I would definitely change if possible.
