Unhappy

D + C the better option

Everybody may remember my post, i took medical management after a miscarriage and well when i went back to the scan they had told me there was a small amount of tissue and we would manage it to see if it would come naturally.

Well i ve spotted and spotted then couple of days nothing at all, My check up last Monday went like this, i had the scan she told me that the lining was thin so back to normal, but she thought she could see a little bit of skin in the Uterus but she didn t want to do surgery for this as it was so small.

I had my blood test taking, it was 6.2 she said that she wanted that to be lower 3 or under, from Monday i ve spotted and spotted passing little bits of tissue. Then on Thursday i started bledding like menustration and still am.

I m thinking oh my god how much can i spot and bleed.I did a pregancy test just to check if the HCG levels were out and yesterday the test was negative.

After 5 weeks its depressing, i read that if you contiune bleeding you can ask for a shot of provera or progesterone, which starts your cycle.
Tomorrow i m not going to work i m going to get second blood test, then see the results.I want my body to go back to normal, this is not inpatience.

I found out on the 11 Jan, that the baby had died and intially i was happy to do the natural way, rather than surgery.

But now i m full of regret and just want to say to all the people who did d+c well done because i think that you on the road and recovery much sooner.

O.k my rant is over, any advice much appreciated.

I'm afraid I have no advice as I've never experienced anything similar. I just wanted to send you lots of hugs and I hope you start to feel better very soon.

Oh, Carmen, im so sorry to hear you are still going through this. I really, really feel for you and can sympathise and empathise buckets, really can, sweetie!

I opted for the d&c because my friend, who had a miscarriage about the time as yourself, did the same as you and said she regretted it as well.

She is now luckily back on track physically as she just had her first period but a friend of hers had a d&c and bled for weeks after, so I suspect its all very individual.

You probably feel like your body is conspiring against you and you long for closure. Carmen I pray and hope you get it soon as you deserve to!

Im sending you lost of good vibes and hope that you will get back to your old self asap!!! i do so understand how you feel, take care sweetie,

I suppose tomorrow is Monday so i can be on the phone tomorrow asking what is going on.

Your so welcome Carmen!

Defenitely ask whats going on as you deserve to know... i did read somewhere that next period can be anything unlike you've had before- great looking forward to that one!

AND i totally agree... who would think something so small can be sooo much trouble?

on a lighter note.. after what i went through I know now I will NEVER EVER have a natural birth... expect me to be drugged up to the eyeballs!!!

take care and let us now how you get on sweetie, im here if you wanna chat, xx

Hi girls, thought I would drop in for a chat.

I m/c after New Year and had AF on 31 January. The cramps were a milder version of the m/c which was not nice and the bleeding a little heavier than normal.

I am now on 2nd AF since m/c and still heavy, strange cramps going down my legs and on my hips.

Everyone is different but hope all goes well for you both xx

Sorry to hear it's taking so long for you to get things back on track, its very much a personal choice about what to do when you m/c in hindsight i would also opt for a D&C i chose to let it happen naturally. Hope your tests go ok x
