i think after a miscarriage our hormones are everywhere so having a period gives us a chance to go back to our pre pregnancy state. it also gives ur body chance to show if u have a infection.. i didnt with my eprc but i have had one this time.
I have decided to wait just one period before trying to let my womb have a little rest as this is my second miscarriage in a short time also we have to wait nine months for our baby so whats a month extra gonna hurtm to get emotionaly and physically stronger saying that if u feel good and u are ready to try again and strong enough to accept and cope with the prospect of having another miscarriage, then go for it.
I know habing two miscarriages isnt something that happens to everyone but my first pregnancy was straight forward and trouble free so it could happen to you or to anyone so bare that in mind and finally good luck babes x

lol gosh that sounds so negative i dont mean it to - i just mean getting on the pregnancy rollercoaster is somthing u gotta be prepared for - the highs which are so so high and the lows that are so so low.
hopefully we will both get a sticky soon xxx

Does anybody actually know any doctors or seen any actual evidence that supports either way??
I've also just seen conflicting advice. My friend had a D&C last year and concieved twins 4 weeks after, before she'd had her first af. They were born in January and are perfectly fine

Hi girls well I flit back and forth to this thread as I'm currently pregnant straight after a m/c with no AF inbetween. Obviously VERY nervous and my doc was a bit negative to say the least saying ' I advised you to wait two cycles'... ooops.
However, I've also heard some really positive stories of women getting preg immediately after a m/c and going full term.
I'm with what some others have written, which is what will be wil be.
I am no medic but perhaps it depends how far in you lose the baby. I was only 5weeks 3 days when my m/c started and although I was absolutely heartbroken and still am, I felt it was early enough for me to be physically ready to try again.
(Basically, I am an impatient cow!!)

Good luck to all those ttc after mc and going through mc.

Hi all, I had my MC a week ago today (at 6wks+2) and the bleeding stopped Yesturday, it was only really heavy the first few days and a lot lighter the last few so kinda like a longer than normal heavier period. now the bleeding has stopped i feel right as rain again and i was told at the Early Pregnancy Unit that its advisable to wait so you give your uterus a better lining for implantation purposes, in the leaflet i brought home it doesnt say you have to wait tho, I am going with the theory that if my body isnt ready then beanie wont inbed and i will be non the wiser, but just maybe if its meant to be it will be, good luck everyone ttc x x
