Mrs Doddy and others near their due date, thought you might like this poem i wrote xx

I didn't want to go....

I wanted to tell you a few things
You couldn't possibly ever know
You will always be my Mommy
And I didn't want to go.

I'd be nearly there by now
Perfect in every way
Still, I'm with you every step you take
I love you more each day.

Mommy, time stands still for no-one
And life can be really unkind
You see I was given to you
But then they changed their mind.

Mommy hold your memories tight
I hope you learnt from me
You are so very brave
To cope with such a journey.

Once upon a time
I thought your heart would break
It got so bad just watching you
My heart started to ache.

I am the sun that shines on your face
The wind that blows in your hair
The gentle dew on the Autumn grass
Just to remind you I am there.

Mommy you need to live without me
I'm never going to return
Please don't be scared to try again
You will see and you will learn.

I know you love me very much
But you need to let me go
Else you run the risk of ruining your life
Your time will come again, I know.
