Miscarrying, Rh-, and saving the tissue?

I am Rh- and had a shot last time I miscarried (I was 17 weeks). I'm now going through another loss, but this one was much earlier at about 4w3d. Will I need to have another shot of rhogam or no?

Also, should I be trying to save any of the tissue that is coming out? It's stringy kind of (sorry...TMI). Not sure if that's what the doctor would like....if he wants it at all.

Oh Jessa, I'm not sure about the shot?

Are you at the consultant today?

Ya, I've got an appointment in about an hour and a half with my OB. I'm sure he'll tell me about the shot. I'm not sure if I should be trying to keep the tissue I'm passing or not though....

Well why not were a pad and keep it on as long as you can, might be worth keeping it honey as they can test it

Thinking of you!

i think you need a shot as the antybodies are going to be produced again and need to be removed for the sake of next pregnancy.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you again xx

I've had a shot of anti-d after all 3 of my mmc, they were around 10 weeks and I was told they don't generally give it until you are 8 weeks or more - so I'm not honestly sure if you need it or not.....maybe check with your doc to be on the safe side xx

I just got back from my appointment with my OB. He said I don't need the shot. We're waiting on the recurrent miscarriage testing blood work results from a few weeks ago. If that comes back clean, he's going to refer us to a fertility specialist. We have to wait until October 15th to get our results back and then we'll go from there. Thanks, everyone!

Jessa - my RMC test results are back mid-October too!! I don't know if you're feeling the same, but in one way I hope they come back clear then on the other hand I want some answers as I feel its too much of a coincidence to have 3 almost identical mc!!

Heres hoping we both get something positive mid-october and carry our next bubs to term xx
