Hey sorry to butt in on this thread, but I'm going to see my GP tomorrow to try have some tests done as I'm currently going through my 3rd MC this year......thing is, I have a healthy 6 year old and I sailed through that pregnancy, I had no problems at all, it's just been this last year that I'm struggling. Will they still carry out the tests for me? I just don't understand it all quite yet :S

Hi Janiepops, sorry for your losses. Yes, they should definitely still investigate.

Some of the ladies here had a good first pregnancy, but have since had problems, including me. I feel so lucky to have one, but it is still so hard to go through miscarriage and uncertainty about the future.

Babytots, thanks for keeping in touch about the tests. Know exactly how you feel about the waiting, it is really hard. I want to try again now, assuming that the test results tomorrow are OK, but am scared that something will go wrong again and that if it does people will berate us for "trying too soon".

I recently had a private HSG test and ultrasound to rule out any uterine adhesions ("Asherman's") (I have had a C-section and an ERPC). They each cost around £350 each privately (most of that is the fee for the doctor). It is a lot to spend, but am glad they have been done, as I can now stop worrying about that aspect of things....

Janiepops - Sorry for your losses. They will defo do tests so make sure you book an appointment with your doctor as they have been recurrent mcs. Oppss. Just seen that you sent this in August.

Did your doc put you forward for testing then? Hope all well.

Littlehush - Really glad you got on the NKC trial... Are you also going to St. Mary's?

wow this post was a little left behind wasnt it lol.

janiepops i am so sorry for your losses. your in a similar boat to me. i have had 2 healthy children (though i think i had a m/c before them though it was never confirmed long story!). i have now had 3 losses all within a year. sadly i have no reason as to why but i hope that when you have your tests done you get some answers.

littlehush- i have had all the tests done that you have had! finally got to see my consultant again and i saw in my notes while flicking through it what i had done. i see my doctor tomorow to ask about the trials.

does anyone know how long it takes from the refferal to being asked to go down to liverpool to have the biopsy done? x

Hi ladies, just thought I'd bump this thread. I have now had all my RMC test results, mainly on NHS but a few private, and the problem seems to be that my ovaries aren't producing a strong "corpus luteum" which is what makes progesterone to support a pregnancy.

This was diagnosed (by accident!) with an ultrasound scan a few days after ovulation. In retrospect, several previous scans (post m/c scans to check everything had gone) must have showed the same thing, as doctors kept saying my period would come in the next few days (presumably because of the way the corpus luteum looked), but then it wouldn't come for 10 days.

I have been prescribed 400mg progesterone pessaries to take from 3 days after ovulation until my period arrives or, if pregnant, for the first 12 weeks. So far it has helped with my PMS (hurray), but delayed my period, which was stressful. In the second month I had a chemical pregnancy, we're trying again with the same treatment, fingers crossed.

Also interested in the experience of anyone who's been for the trial in Liverpool as am considering this (though don't know if am eligible 'cos of the other thing).

Just searching for information and found this thread.

It's from last year, but looking at your avatar and status updates it appears as if the testing and treatments must be working as many of you seem to be pregnant now!
