What happens next? Recurrent m/c question

Not sure where to post this one. After having 3 m/cs in 18 months, we are finally having tests and then being referred.

I have had my blood test results for CD5/21 and both have come back normal/no action.

OH has to arrange to have his sperm samples analysed and then we will be referred to the hospital. The doctor did not think that OH should have any problems as he already has 3 children.

I know I can get pregnant so what will they test for once I am being referred.

It will be under the NHS.

Many thanks, Rumps xxx

Well, I have recurrent m/c but also infertility, so my tests may be different. I have had blood work, endometrial biopsy, HSG, lap, hysterscopy, D&C, Clomid, Prometrium, baby asprin, and I am now being referred to IVF and a second opinion in a different city.

I had a whole load of testing - can't remember it all now but lots of blood taken. If you check the recurrent mc thread that you use you'll see at the beginning the huge list. They didn't check my husbands sperm as I don't actually have problem getting pregnant. Just sticking.

Everything came back 'normal' for me so was left a little downbeat as why has it happened 3 times. Not that I wanted something to be wrong, but something I could blame it on. Hope all goes well x

the possible reasons for ms apart from the most common one - chromosomal problems or cell division problems for which you can't do anything are: toxoplasmosis, rubella, CVM, possible bacterial infection in vagina or somewhere there, low progesterone levels and antiphospholipid syndrome. all of them can be found out from blood test, apart from bacterial infection which is done by kind of smear test. any of above can be treated and further ms prevented. hope it helps. if you need any more information let me know and i'm happy to help. i'm really sorry that you have to go through that but hope they find a reason and deal with it. one thing - be firm and don't let them brush you off, know as many facts as possible. what i found out myself here they have economical attitude towards pregnancies under 12 weeks - let the nature takes it course and very offen you just need one drug to save it. good luck
