Hello

I have noticed there are a few ladies on here who, like myself, are being referred or are being tested for recurrent miscarriages.

It would be lovely if you could all put down your story/experiences/success stories that we could read and share.

Thank you

I'm 29, hubby is 30. We've been together for sixteen years. Have had two miscarriages. The first in May 08 (12 weeks along, heart stopped at 10 weeks. d&c x 2) and the second in Feb 09 (9.5 weeks, heart stopped at 7 weeks. natural) Since I have no living children and have been trying since Feb 08, was referred to the gynecologist after two miscarriages.

I have had blood tests, ultrasounds, saline infusion sonogram, and two endometrial biopsies. Waiting for results from gynecologist. He will do genetic testing for us after three losses.

Hi, im Laura. Im 22 my partner is 23. I have had 4 miscarriages in the last 2 years, all between 4.5 and 6.5 weeks all naturally. OH and I have been together for 3 years now but were together at collage aslo for just over a year. Been friends for years!! Had my daughter (different father) with no problems so finding the miscarriages very hard to accept.
Currently being reffered for testing and waiting for my appointment with st mary's hospital in london to start the ball rolling.

Hi rumpskin, glad you started this thread, heres my contribution.....

Name - Jen

Age - 35

Status - Been with OH for 6 years

Details of mc - March 09 - bleeding followed by natural mc 4 days later @ 10 weeks pregnant, chemical May 09 and July 09 MC @ just under 5 weeks

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries without the syndrome one year ago after a year and half ttc.
Had an internal scan and saw the cysts,
had a hysterosalpingogram which was fine
CD2 and 21 bloods done which showed I wasn't ovulating.
OH had SA done which was fine.
After first MC I pushed to have rhesus tests done as I'm rhesus neg and was worried about a rhesus reaction after MC, this was fine.
Thyroid function bloods done - also fine.

My doc expalined that the egg has a hard time getting out past the cysts so I don't ovulate all the time. I was put on clomid and sent away to get on with it.

Following most recent MC I've been referred to the gynaes at my local hospital for more tests. I don't have a clue what this will involve but am optimistic, hoping they will work out why I have the cysts and treat it.

Three miscarriages in 5 months

Hi there I'm a first time poster wanting to share my experiences no matter how traumatic they may be to give others the support they need and share my experiences.

I'm 26 and we have been trying to conceive our first baby. In the past five months I have had three miscarriages.
- November 2010
- March 2011 (on my birthday)
- April 2011

I have an incurable disease known as M.E / CFS however I have been assured this does not cause reocurrant miscarriages, so there is obviously another underline condition causing the issues.

I went to my doctor two days ago who has referred me to a local hospital for blood tests. It has already been suggested that I may have "Hughes syndrome" commonly known as "sticky blood" which would actually be the cause of several other issues that I have that M.E / CFS. does not cause. Such as

- reocurrant miscarriages
- frequent heart palputstions (2-3 a week)
- blotchy skin caused due to poor skin circulation
- hyper sensitive and also numb skin patches
- seeing sparkles and partial vision loss with frequent migraines

I'm at the hospital on the 26th for blood tests let's hope they find what's up and so we can start the treatment.

Regards giggles worth

Its so sad that so many people are in the same boat here

Me and my husband are both 29, have found getting pregnant no problem at all. First time lucky on both occasions using the clearblue fertility monitor. Getting the pregnancy to stick is another matter

first miscarriage was at 5 weeks in March 2011

Was advised to start taking low dose aspirin and I fell pregnant two weeks later. Went for early scans and seen the heartbeat at 6+2, 7+2, 8+1. Sadly at my 9 week scan there was no longer a heartbeat so I've just had a D&C. I'm now being referred to the reccurent miscarriage clinic for tests.
It has also been discovered that I have uterus didelphis which is complete duplication. I have two uterus each with their own cervix, apparently very rare. This does not cause early miscarriages so there is something else at play and all my symptoms point to low progesterone.

Hi everyone,

I had my first mmc in Nov at 11.5wks (6wks), just went through the second easter sunday 10wk(6wks). I am devastated but positive that I can now start getting answers hopefully.
I have been sent for pelvic ultrasound - ovaries and uterus normal - uterus lining good despite d&c 7 days earlier
bloods - blood clotting, karotyping, chromosome, hormones, vitamin difficiency, thyroid, diabetes, rhesus and I can't remember what else - i will update as test results come back in, so far a few vitamin and hormone ones have come back and their normal.

I have also been referred to a fertility specialist seeing her on the 2nd June.

I am positive I will find and answer and the next one will be my forever baby.
Good luck ladies, I look forward to updates.

hi i'm helen and i'm 31. i am currently going through my 11th miscarriage. i am lucky enough to have a 12 year old son but my partner and i so desperately want to have a baby of our own and everytime i fall pregnant, i miscarry. we have both been tested for everything that we can possibly be tested for and all tests have come back negative - there are no reasons for us to keep losing our babies. we live with a little bit of hope that oneday we will get our own baby x
