Scared OH is going off the idea..

Hey ladies,

if anyone has been following my story then youll know whats happened but if you havent.. well ive had a complete molar pregnancy and been told we cant try for another baby until next year depending on how my HCG levels are.

im desperate to be pregnant again and last night i mentioned to my OH "just think if my levels stay down we may be able to try again in October" and he really didnt seem keen at all. just changed the subject really after quickly saying "maybe we should wait a little while" so i said "youve gone off the idea havent you" and he went upstairs to the loo.

gah.. thats all i need. xx

as much as it sucks, he is probably concerned about you. They can be a bit nazi like with following drs instructions! Hopefully he'll come round before october.

I am sure he hasnt gone off the idea but instead is worried about you and future pregnancies. I had two mc and my partner lost his way for several months but when I managed to pin him down he admitted he had only 'gone off' the idea because of how upsetting it was and how hard he found it to see me so distraught.
Best thing you can do is sit down and have a proper conversation with him so you can both discuss properly how you feel, where things are at etc. Maybe he just wants to wait as long as the doctor has suggested as he believes that will give you the best chance? You wont know until you make him talk to you.

I can't really say much more than what the others have said hun, he's probably so scared about you being hurt again sweetie. I know that doesn't make it any easier for you, but men tend to be super irrational when it comes to things that might go wrong. My OH has said he doesn't want us to try for another few years because of losing Seb... who was albeit unplanned but very much wanted and it hurts, but I can't force him, so I'm jsut trying to go with the flow, and try when we're both ready!

Mine's been a bit funny too, I think he feels partly or even wholly responsible for what's happening to me & doesn't want to put me through this again.
Thing is not being a mum would hurt me way more than another molar!

But how can you tell a man that? lol
