I'm Currently Feeling: | Frightened and very upset I think I might be miscarrying my baby.
Last night when I went to the toilet, when I wiped there was a pinkish tinge on the toilet paper. I felt very worried about this and phoned NHS 24. The doctor was very nice and told me that a bit of pinkish discharge was nothing to worry about. He said that if it increased, or got worse, I should phone back. He also told me that at only 5 weeks, if I did miscarry, there is not a lot they could do - he was very nice about it though.
Today, I went to Boots and bought some more pregnancy tests. My boobs had stopped feeling tender and I was very anxious. I had drunk a cup of tea before I went though. I first did a Boots digital - it came back negative. I took the stick out of the machine (even though you are told not to examine the lines) and there was a distinctive other line there. I did the normal Boots test and it came back positive. In fact, the line came back quicker than it has ever done before (although the line was fainter than the test line), in a couple of seconds. So I am very confused. When I wiped, there was a light brownish (slight) discharge - like I sometimes get a day before AF is due.
I feel very sad, hopeless and frightened now. I feel like I can do nothing to prevent things from happening. I don't want to lose my baby, but feel like there is nothing I can do about it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | awww hun, have you asked on the first trimester part if its normal, i've read that pregnant women do still have discharge and bleeding while pregnant is not always a sign of miscarriage. I really hope everything is ok, keep us posted so we can send big hugs xx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh hun, I hope everything is ok. I don't know if I told you or not but for a week (a little bit over) after getting my BFP I had pinkish discharge on the toilet paper after wiping. Honestly I think the fact that you are only noticing slight discharges and they are pink and brown in color is a good sign. If you were miscarrying I think that the discharge would be red and more clotted. Let us know how things go | | | | Status: Online

If they had a chance of saving a baby from miscarrying, I would be straight down there. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I can't lie it could be something Poppy But it could be nothing! I hope with everything crossed that it is nothing!
The digital - now whist a normal test may have picked up if your urine was not too strong these tests may come back negative they are defo for use with fmu or well cooked water. Did you notice how strong your sample was? Nice & dark/smell strong? How long before had you been to the bathroom? Between last bathroom visit and test had you drank much?
Pinkish discharge can be normal ... red, clotting or heavy bleeding esspecially accompanied with pain 'pain' should be looked for although even then not always the worst feared. I had bleeding as you may have read for weeks it was light and changed colour alot & was even red (brown yellowish red pink watery). Inbetween this time my boobs played games with my head they were sore then they weren't sometimes for a day or two nothing then I'd have to hold on tight going over bumps in car etc I had NO other symptoms!
I also found with testing every day up until my scan that more than often the test line wasn't as strong as control line with this and bleeding I was actually quite sure I was having a repeat ectopic (don't you worry about ectopic this is just my history hun) and before my scan I did a CB ... strong yep as strong as control line nope so that made me panic more (I was 7 weeks at this point).
My thoughts with you because I know sometimes things help but the fear is there and I know how that feels I do hope they will check you out. Will you see GP tomorrow? If not you could actually ring the EPU yourself.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hun I have nothing more to add,as Wobbs gives great advice but I just wanted to send you a hug. A tinge can be very common, and symptoms come and go, this has happened with both my pregnancies (symptoms stopping) and if you are looking for diminishing symptoms then you will find them. I really do have everything crossed hun, and am thinking of you x | | | | Status: Offline
