Im not in the UK.. but I had to induce my miscarriage as well. I must say - I hope you have some pain pills.. and a heating pad... and your significant other to be there in case you loose to much blood. My dr told me if I was filling up a pad every 30 minutes (some drs say every hour).. then to go to the emergency room.

Im terribly sorry you have to go through this.. to you..

i'm so sorry hunni . i dont have an advise as my experience was further along and i had to go through labour though can imagine its very similar.

i agree make sure you have some painkillers and anything that can ease the pain as you will probably experience cramps like strong period pain and definately keep an eye on the bleeding and if it concerns you get in touch with your hospital asap. x

I had an induced miscarriage at 17 weeks (baby was just over 14 weeks). About 8 hours after the doctor inserted the tablet, I started to miscarry.

I don't mean to scare you, but I lost quite a bit of blood. I bled non-stop for almost 7 hours (overnight) and had times when I felt like I needed to push, similar to what you hear people say labour is like. It was nowhere near like labour, but when I pushed, larger clots of blood would come out. I also saw our baby. The baby was perfect -- had arms and legs, etc -- but was a bit shorter than the length of my hand. Be prepared for that part, hun, because it was the scariest part of the whole thing for me.

Like shelby said, make sure that you have someone with you right now. I wouldn't have had the strength to get through it without my DH.

I hope things are okay. I'm thinking about you. The worst of the physical part will be over before you know it.

Emotionally for me the best thing I did was to write a goodbye letter to my little one. It helped to release him while he was still inside me. As everyone has told me, I'll tell you, to feel your feelings.

Physically, I was a week earlier than you and had a different procedure, but all are heart wrenching and sad I'm afraid. You will get through it.
