Another loss for me then

Hi Ladies

Firstly, I'm sorry to butt in our your thread, but I feel like I could use a little support right now. Usually I just try to offer advice to other people, but I'm feeling a little worn out just now......

I should be 8 weeks pg today, but instead I have been sent home to miscarry. I knew over a week ago that something wasnt right, and was then told by the hospital that it might be ectopic as my hcg leves arent falling quick enough.....as you can imagine I have spent the last 7 days terrified of what migth happen...

After repeated bloods and another scan today, they have decided that everything is in my uterus and that it should all pass by itself...

I know that it very early, and that this happens to lots of women, but I cant help feel that my body is useless and that it just wont work anymore. I had to tx last year at 23 weeks due to a fatal syndrome, and I genuinely thought this time would be good.

Anyway, I'm just a bit scared of what to expect and any advice you could offer would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Laura xx

big hugs babe.
m/c naturally is not too bad the pain can be surprising with some but not always also chances are when you bleed it will be watery and quite bright red. if you bleed very heavy it can be scary. at any time if you think something is not right go to the ER and tell them they will help you. you may aqlso need to go to the ER if the pain gets too bad.

massive hugs

So sorry hun. What to expect... just make sure you've got some ibuprophen. Otherwise, just like what's been said, if things don't feel right then call the doc.

I'm so sorry. I MC in March at 11 weeks with twins and am still struggling. Needed a D&C after continued blood loss but as the other girls say just keep an eye and don't be afraid to ask for help if it gets too much.

Hi Laura,

First, - so sorry you're going through this, I wish no-one had to.

I mc'd about the same time as you, about 8.5 weeks. I also knew around 7 weeks that things weren't right. I mc'd naturally too. Obviously everyone's different, but for me I had cramps for a couple of days, then bleeding for 10 days - both of these were period-like symptoms but I'm sorry to say worse than a normal period. After the 10 days of bleeding it stopped, but then a couple of days later I had a little more. Then that was it, normal af started 5 weeks after the mc started. Hospital did hcg tests at the beginning (after the cramps and when the bleeding had been going a couple of days), and found the levels were dropping quickly. They said to take a test 2 weeks later to check the levels had dropped to virtually nothing (ie, hope for a negative test at that point) - if a positive test had happened, they might have had to do checks to see why the hormone levels were still registering positive.

Emotionally, I found it harder than the physical side. All the ladies on here understand and will help you through. I stayed home for a few days to rest, because the bleeding and emotional side made me feel really weary.

I hope you find a way that suits you to get through this. Keep talking to us all if it helps. And I hope there's happier news for you another time soon. xxx

Hi

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for your replies - its been a hard couple of days for sure, but I'm doing ok at the moment.

Yesterday I passed some strange looking grey matter (like a 50p piece and with a hard bit in the middle) and today, just the once, a large red hard clot.....not sure if that is it or if I shoudl expect more......

Why is this all so hard?//

laura x
