miscarrying now TMI Information sorry

Hi guys fairly new to this forum, posted in TTC a couple of times.

Did pg tests last week and 3 out of 4 tests were . I was obviosuly ecstatic as it was our first month ttc.

Had some brown cm on thurs and thought it must be implantation. Friday had more brown cm and then it turned to red blood. (Sorry for TMI!) Properly bleeding in Friday but only medium nothing heavy, then more Saterday. Sat evening passed a small clot no cramps and certainly not heavy bleeding. Another clot yesterday and am still bleeding. The blood is quite dark red and i've only had 1 brief bout of cramping lasting 2 mins or so.

I was only 4 weeks pregnant. I know this is nothing in comparison to some of you who have lost your babies further through a pregnancy. I want to start ttc again as soon as i have stopped bleeding.

I just wanted to share my frustration that because it was so early on, no one would help me, Dr's midwifes etc just get told its a miscarriage and the such. My gp even told me if i was pregnant then i wont get AF if not pregnant then AF will come!?
Its incredibly frustrating that no one will tell you officially if your not pregnant any more at such an early stage, that i basically have to accept 'its over'.
I'm having to accept in the back of my mind that im not pregnant any more but still its not easy. To top it of along with bleeding still today i have to go to work and act as everything is all normal

Sorry to hear that hon Unfortunately because miscarriages are quite common doctors tend to forget how devastating they are. If youre passing clots and red blood sadly it does sound like a miscarriage.

I am so sorry this is happening to you no matter how early it is it is still devastating. i would say though that the worst thing I did when it happened to me was to try to carry on as if everything was normal, I only managed to keep it up for about a day and then was a wreck for a couple of weeks. I'm not saying you will be and everyone deals with things differently but don't feel bad about taking time out if you need to. take care

Hi boxerdog, sorry to hear you are bleeding

I've had the same thing happen after a positive pg test once or twice & I'm sorry to say I got a BFN a few days after the bleeding. My doctors were dismissive about it too, which hurt at the time, but I made sure they noted it down.

That said, some women do bleed in the first trimester & the baby is fine, so there is always a glimmer of hope. Will you be testing again in a few days?

aww I know how you are feeling hun. I was in the same situation a few weeks ago. I lost at just under 6w and the staff at the EPU were so horrible, saying its just an early miscarriage etc. It might just be that to them....I wonder if they have actually had it happen to them to know exactly how it feels.
Hope you feel better soon xxxx

this is a hard time for you, and unfortunately some people (including the medical prfession) just don't know (or don't want to know) the emotional pain that goes with it all....

take care though.....

So sorry to hear your news. I don't think anyone knows how it feels until it happens to them, unfortunately that's the way it is. I hope work goes ok, it's probably easier in a way if people don't know!?

hi everyone thanks so much for your supportive messages,

Bleeding has turned brown again this evening and is lighter, which is good. Only concern is that i have a niggly pain in my left side of abdomin, admittedly its only 4/10 on a scale of 10 being agony so not to bad, but is this something i should be worried about or is it all normal?

Thanks for your help

keep an eye on the pain. I had this ( along with the bleeding) and it was ectopic. They left it so late I ruptured on the trolley on the way to theatre and lost a tube.
I am sure you will be ok but if it persists I would have them check it out. I never had agonising pain, it was just constant for about 4 weeks. I was 8 weeks when it went.
Hugs XXXXXXX
