Miscarrying after ERPC

Is it a common thing to have all the signs of a miscarriage start up a few days after having an ERPC?

I'm cramping, bleeding & having intense 'contraction' type pains about every 10 minutes.
It started yesterday. I've passed two clots so far, but nothing major, mainly just blood.

The weird thing is, in the first 2-3 days after the ERPC I was fine, with just spotting & minimal discomfort.

I'm also really fed up & tearful, 10 times worse than before. It seems like there is no end in sight & I'm never going to feel normal again.

To top it off, I took an HPT just now & it's darker again than the one I did a couple of days ago. Why does it seem like nothing is ever straight forward right now??!!

PS. Sorry to sound like a whinge bag all the time!

Maybe the surgery didnt get everything.. and your body was getting rid of the rest on its own.. I had to induce my mc.. and then 3-4 days later i started having symptoms like this.. and it was my body mc on its own.. since i had already started the process (if that makes sence)

I hope you figure something out.. because Im just guessing. you have been through SO much..

Oh dan-o, I really hope this is all over quickly for you. Then you can start from square 1 and go on to get that bfp and sticky bean.

Thanks guys

I went to my GP, he gave me antibiotics as a precuation.
If I'm no better by thursday I have to go back for some betas & maybe a second D&C, apparently they can miss tissue during the procudure & if it's really stubborn it can hang in there or even grow.

I'm hoping it will resolve itself tho, the cramps are coming a lot closer together now & getting even more intense, so hopefully this means my womb will empty itself.

One day I'll look back on this & think 'thank god that's over'.
I'm looking forward to that day x

Yeah that doesn't sound good. My tests got fainter and fainter afterwards and my bleeding was very minimal after the first day. Although I did have a day or 2 of no bleeding (or maybe just a tiny bit of pink CM) and then the day I went back to work, I had the most I'd had since the day after my ERPC. At least you've been to see your doctors but keep an eye on that as they may not have removed everything. From what I know, they do the operation "blind" so they do their best to remove everything but sometimes it isn't successful.

Hopefully this isn't the case for you. What I do remember is having strong contraction type pains when I went to the loo about a week afterwards but that soon stopped xxx

Hi dan-o. This is exactly what happened to me. I had an MVA (similar to EPRC) on Thursday and had minimal spotting, then yesterday I was having severe cramping pains and passing lots of blood . I phoned the hospital, they gave me an exam and antibiotics as a precaution.

I have still got pains today but hoping they will fade over the next few days as I think it is just my body getting rid of everything.

I think if the pains do get worse or don't ease off in the next few days we should go back to the hospital just to check everythings ok.

I hope you manage to find a way to get over this

Take care
