Hey glad you had a great meal Autumn - I love scary films, even better when you are at the cinema. xx

Thanks for popping by my journal! I like the sound of your mum, no-nonsense, got her girl's best interest at heart, taking all that TTC stuff off your hands. I think my mum might end up doing the same next month if I don't get my BFP! x

Yep, my mum is pretty great - she's been telling me for months that I need to stop being so scientific about everything. But me being the stubborn cow that I am, refused to listen to her.

But when AF showed up this month, I was completely crushed. Sobbing in bed by myself (Rob was at work), with only my dog to console me. Which she did very well actually - she never left my side. And she put her paws on my shoulders to hug me - so damn cute!

So yes, it took a near mental breakdown for me to listen to Mum, lol

But I hope that you get your BFP this month, and that your Mum doesn't have to take the same action!!

I feel really down lately. I'm trying to be positive, but I can't.

Its not just the TTC thing either, although that is part of it. Let me bullet point the things I hate right now:
  • I hate my job.
  • I hate the fact I've put on 2 stone since getting married in November (!).
  • I hate that however much I go to the gym and eat healthily, I can't lose weight as easily as I used to be able to.
  • I hate worrying that my weight could be the reason I'm not conceiving.
  • I hate that Rob works crappy night shifts, so we don't see each other as often as I'd like.
  • I hate that we don't seem to have much money at the moment. What the hell have we spent it all on?!?
  • I hate that my motivation level at the moment is zero, and I really really have to force myself to go the gym. Even though there is no pigging point going, because its not pigging doing anything anyway.
All in all, I hate everything.

I know I need to get a grip - things could be a lot worse. I know that. But it still isn't making me feel any better.

Oh lovely

We all have our off days. I had one of those when popped by uninvited. I had a few and felt really sorry for myself.

Feel so much better today.

It will pass I promise.

Try and look positively to your future. Even if you change little parts of your life that you are unhappy with, it is a start.

Thanks hun . Glad you're feeling better today too - hopefully I'll snap myself out of it and be back on form tomorrow!

Hi Elizabeth,

Just got your lovely little message in my journal and have popped by to read yours. I find mine very therapeutic and hope yours does you the world of good too. I think it will as there are so many folk with worse problems than your own ... or the same in fact ... that it makes you feel grateful for small mercies.

You would be right to concentrate on some positive aspects and compare it with the 'I hate' list:

1 It's true that you are both lovely and young with time on your side.
2 You have a wonderful relationship which I doubt will ever lead to you appearing on the Jeremy Kyle show.
3 Your bodies are perfectly normal and healthy putting you in the best position possible to conceive.
4 You actually have a job (which puts you in a better position when going for interviews for another job that you would prefer).
5 You have the ability to feel and are obviously a sensitive person, which means you have compassion, which is a very important ingredient of being a mother.
6 You have a wonderful mother yourself who lends you the right type of support and is someone you can turn to. (I doubt she will be on the Jeremy Kyle show either)
7 Weight is only a temporary problem and perhaps like millions of others you can't loose it on your own. Maybe Weight Watchers or another group would work for you and give you back your self worth. Stress can cause weight gain (it does with me), so when you start to loose a lb or two, your stress levels will decrease. You can do it, you just need to push a little bit harder and you will see results. Even a simple thing like drinking more water can work wonders so that's an easy, inexpensive thing you can try for starters.
8 You look lovely in your photo, so looks are on your side. Your babies will be really gorgeous.
9 You're in love and are loved just as much back.
10 Money is good, but I would prefer to have my health than money. You have good health and so does your husband.
11 You've already taken a right step in relieving the stress of obsessing and charting. This shows you have strength of character which means you can overcome any obstacle put in your way.
12 There are no obstacles, just lack of patience sometimes that overwhelms you and millions of other women. But we all carry on regardless and statistically, each month you try brings you closer to success.

Hope this list of positives helps you feel better.

and for your journal.
